They didn't. Unfortunately the last good /doll/ owner decided to turn the board over to someone. Unfortunately, one of us Anons didn't take it in time, and some outsider spoke up and got it. This was berry-likely a roastie, AFAWCT today.

Shortly before anon.cafe went down, she shrimply killed the board unannounced (then had the gall to pretend it was utterly useless).

So yes, I remember now, the BO closed the board abruptly just before anon.cafe death. I was not into dolls but that was a nice place.

While I was looking for /doll/ I stumbled upon https://chan.city/ from where you can browse all chans.

I used 'chan' as a technical term, not to compare it with 'chan culture' (yuck). There are other types of imageboards too such as boorus (which I host as well) and plenty of self-described chans will ban you for greentexting, frogposting, poor grammar or other 4chan-like behavior.
