You're not missing much, it's literally just
>Okay newphew-kun, I want you to FUCK all the girls in the school.
And then you precede to fuck everyone, that's the extent of the story. The sequel's story is basically just fuck people during their vacation instead, which makes a lot more sense I suppose then sanctioned orgies at school.

>Who gives crap about mods, they suck. They make the game 20 times heavier and make it load as much slower without adding much of worth. Vanilla version was pretty fun.
Maybe use an SSD, saves a lot of loading time, besides even the vanilla game loads like ass without one. Sunshine at least loads a bit faster, but that's just cause the engine is newer.

Pretty sure that wouldn't work, and certainly wouldn't include the original's story mode. Trust me, you're missing nothing from the original. I usually skip it anyway, it's mandatory to play out the beginning but as long as you never pull off the story events you'll never have to deal with it, and can treat the game as freeplay normally. Prior to later updates, story characters had unique personalities, but they're not able to be applied to everyone, so there is no reason to use them unless you like a preset character I guess.
