Anyways, this game is piss easy to translate, with only a few caveats, so anyone can give it a go.

It's pain in the ass to read interface menus full of moonrunes too. I played some earlier translation once that had sex symbols (♂ and ♀) in the relevant column of personnel lists, for example. Much easier on the eyes.
An anon one thread or so ago was playing around with getting a little more of the interface translated. I have no idea if he's made it over here yet or is even still working on it. There're about three versions floating around each with a different translation (among other features).
Replies: >>222
>>220
That anon was me, I dropped the idea of translating the game myself in favor of putting that time into actually learning Japanese. It's gonna take way fucking longer, but I feel it will pay off in the end.
However, I did make progress into decompiling the executable, translating some strings and recompiling successfully, if anons care and someone else wants to translate, I can write a small guide of how I did it.
Replies: >>226
>>222
Since with any luck this thread ought to be around a while, it would be good of you to document what you've been able to do. I'm sure there are anons out there for whom this kind of thing is child's play, but there could be dumb anons like me who find the thread later on and want to put in the time and effort to build on what you've been able to do.

You know what, you're right. OK what you need to do is this:
1 - Go to https://github.com/YSRKEN/HSP-Decompiler/releases to download the decompiler
2 - Open HSPdecom.exe, click on the file menu (the one with the F) and then use the first option, that will open an explorer window, point it to the game's executable
3 - It will run and create a folder on the same location as the game with the file's name, inside you will find a file called start.ax, use the decompiler again on the start.ax file, creating a new file on that folder
4 - The new file is start.hsp, you can open it using a text editor and you will have access to the executable's source code, enabling you to translate anything that's hardcoded into the file
5 - However, be careful, the engine uses some weird syntax, for example, it replaces cr with a new line, so word like procreate will print on the screen as pro and then eate on the next line, I don't know how many of these conditions exist as I didn't test extensively.
6 - Next we can compile, go to http://hsp.tv/make/begin.html and click the link under HSP3ダウンロード to download the compiler, install it.
7 - Weirdly enough, even though their page is fully in Japanese, if you go to where you installed the compiler they have a translated editor, so use the one named hsed3_en.exe to get an interface in English.
8 - Go to file and open the start.hsp file with your edits, once loaded go to HSP (P) and use the make executable option.
9 - If the program is as cursed for you as it is for me, it will crash the editor, however, you will get an executable with your edits on the same folder as start.hsp, called hsptmp.exe, move it to the game's root and you can run it.
10 - Profit, you can even load saves from the original exe, but I guess that if you start messing with the code's logic beyond just translating strings then you might loose that compatibility.
That shit seems longer than what it really is, I just wanted to make it clear if anybody wants to give it a go.

Fleet stats should be mostly straightforward. CON is used to build forts, mines let you mine hexes on the strategic view, troops let you invade planets, carriers/starfighters add an extra attack in combat. Just remember that not all ships are meant for combat and distribute them accordingly.
The fort/mine options are relevant because there is a 10 fleet cap per faction, so you'll need to spam either mines or forts to cover your flanks once you expand.
For tech, you'll want to set everything to 100% as long as you have the money. The kicker here though is that tech only affects your ships once you've hit the upgrade button, and you can only do that so many times in a game. Generally, you'll want to spam it every time you gain a full level on all your techs. AI can't out-tech you if they're all dead.
Special abilities can be used once per battle.
AI pirates fully rengenerate after each battle, so don't bother killing them.
Fleets can also participate in only a single battle each turn. Any subsequent battles that turn ends up having them unable to do nothing but get beat up the whole time.

I was one of the original translators for the interface, though dropped translating since someone starting pushing efforts while I was in the middle of doing so and just repeating a lot of what I already finished, so dumped the person some of the more technical sections the were translated that they hadn't done yet, then shortly after they dropped the project but I had already lost all interest by then due to them. I may or may not pick it back up but that depends on how I feel since messing with HSP combined with the fact the main EXE is bloated with hardcoded events makes it a bit of a chore.

Making some progress, though the time I can devote to translating an obscure japanese game is short, so if anyone else feels like contributing I can set up a git. Just place rai7TRanslated on the game's root folder, use that for the translation I have so far. start.hsp is the decompiled code for the main executable, if anyone feels like translating you can edit it with any text editor and then follow >>229 from the step 8 to compile your changes.
Some things to note: This is not a MTL, I use DeepL and another dictionary for words I've never seen, but for the most part I've been using this as a chance to practice 日本語 and that means shit might be a weird or wrong translation, so if you see anything like that let me know, or better yet, contribute your changes. Second, I edited some UI elements to fit the translation, but in some cases I had to choose shorter similar words that convey the meaning and could fit in the space there is. Third, So far I only have the main menu, new game options, the HR function and the character details window, don't expect it to be a full translation. Lastly, I'll keep posting my progress, personally I want to have the UI fully or mostly translated, I won't do character/scenario/item names because I can read those and it would be a lot of work, also, I won't translate dialogue or events, because I want to enjoy some surprises as I play, however, anyone is free to translate those.

For the next part, I did some of the information windows that show on the upper part of the game's main screen, and also the most of the options menu. There are two entries I didn't know how to translate オルドボテ差分 and オルド出血差分.
I think ボテ comes from ボテボテ or ボテ腹, slangs for pregnant women, so オルドボテ差分 could be "Old pregnant difference" and オルド出血差分 could be "Old bleeding difference", but neither of those make any sense, so if anyone has any clue of what they are, chime in, otherwise, I'll leave them untranslated for the time being.
Replies: >>17554
>>17551
An image would ne nice, I'm guessing it's in the settings though.

ルドボテ差分 might be Old pregnancy system, whether it's just a bunch of old events or a major rework of the system is beyond me. オルド出血差分 is probably the same, it's either related to virginity or the torture system. I know you said you weren't going to, but it help if you at least looked through the events it changes before translating UI, I'm just a MTL reader so don't expect grand revelations from me.
Replies: >>17560 >>17769
>>17554
Yeah, it's in the settings, with a toggle to enavle or disable them. I'll eventually check what that variable does in code and see how it affects events, but since I don't have that much free time I'd rather keep my momentum and translate as much of the UI as I can first, and then check for any unknowns like those in the code at the end.

I'm pretty sure that's enable pregnant/defloration alternate images.

Old is what h-scenes are called in the files. Sometimes refereed to as Orudo in older machine translations. Not sure what the fuck it's supposed to mean but you can find lines like this
zin_old_init
zin_old_img_pid,pid2,1

Fuck you're right, I did some minor translations back in the hongfire days so I knew this... I think I still have my notes about all this shit somewhere on my laptop too. I'll have to get back into Rai7 at some point, preferably when I'm not juggling so many projects.
>>17696
https://megaup.net/1B181/rai.rar
Back on it again, I've been busy as hell but I managed to squeeze 5 mins here and there to keep translating, shit's actually kind of fun, if autistic. For the main exe, most of the menu's should be translated, going forward I won't touch dialogues, but I will translate other UI elements that I come across as I play. I also included two extra files, the first, ana.txt with (most) of the options translated, it's an external config file, set shit as you want, just remember to not use any line breaks, the code uses the lines to check for the variables. I also modded in an option to increase the maximum number of actions you can take in a turn, change to your liking in the ana file (PD1: Default is 1, it might be unbalanced to increase it, but do what you want. PD2: I haven't tested what happens if you change it without starting a new game, you've been warned). Lastly, I translated the item descriptions, I said I wouldn't touch items, but they were pretty straightforward. Can't change their names, at least not directly, because the code checks for the name string.
>>17696
Thanks for the link dude, I kinda want to play a version that's not the modded one we had, so I'll keep on my crusade of translating a dead game on a dead thread.
>>17770
Thanks for the tip dude, I feel like cultural references are increasingly becoming my bane when reading runes. You seem to know your shit, can I ask you something? There's an item that has a description I couldn't translate. Item's called 失念飴, forgetting/amnesia candy, no problem there, but the description says カタキの相手を忘れてしまう. The 相手を忘れてしまう part is easy, partner/opponent forgets X, but it's カタキ that has me stumped. A web search lead me to a wiki page that says かたき (Written in hiragana not katakana) is a ball game played by children around the world, so I guess I did learn something, but I don't think it's that. (Won't deny the possibility that I completely misread the article).
Replies: >>18694 >>18858
>>18689
Plugging かたき, into deepl gives me revenge, opponent, adversary, enemy. That being said I don't know shit about that kinda stuff, I'm just a machine reader. You should be checking that stuff through a dictionary though, as when I did, it gave me mostly the same results.
Replies: >>18699
>>18694
かたき gets translated to revenge/enemy because it's an alternate reading of 敵, but that's when written in hiragana. The description uses カタキ written in katakana, which is generally reserved for loan words or authors using it to spice up how a character talks. Ultimately I don't know, but I don't think it's being used like that here, but instead it could be another cultural reference like Ordo turned out to be.
Replies: >>18701
>>18699
Another alternative reading is spouse, which is probably what it actually means, at least according to this. http://www.romajidesu.com/dictionary/meaning-of-%E3%81%8B%E3%81%9F%E3%81%8D.html

Despite the fact that I'm a machine reader doesn't mean I don't know the differences between the 3 writing systems.
Replies: >>18706
>>18701
Apparently that's an archaic use of the word, it could be spouse if it was based on period drama-like setting, but I don't know if it applies here. I'd like to correct myself by the way, when I wrote the translation above I just noticed that I put it in the wrong order by accident, の相手を忘れてしまう should be more along the lines of forget partner's X.
So far it could be "Forget (Partner/companion/opponent)'s (revenge/spouse)", given the kind of game this is it could be either. The old modded translation put it as revenge. I think I'll leave it like that for now, and check what it actually does in code later.
Replies: >>18858
>>18689
>>18706
I can't tell you what it says but I can tell you what it does
I believe forgetting candy or whatever it is is used to clear the flag that is set when someone does something bad to someone that character is related to.
like, you kill a girls husband and she'll want revenge on you. she'll later try to kill you and probably get killed in the process. forgetting candy makes her no longer want to kill you.

You might mention special attacks associated with fleet leader/officer abilities. Some of them give an additional attack on target fleet or a weaker one but spread on all hostile fleets in 2x2 hex area. There are some passive bonuses possible to have like faster replenishment of lost forces or specialized toward capturing planets, destroying space stations and so on. If you play on a higher difficulty level than the lowest one, you can also use some items which can be strong enough to overthrow the expected outcome pretty badly, but only a minority of them affects space combat directly. For example equipment giving you 1200 to your fleet size or consumables raising fleet attack or defense by several points, disabling pirates for one turn, and so on. I also got consumables permanently granting one using them the abilities I mentioned above, as long as they have none before.

There also is the whole issue whom should have as your officers and whom not. Beware of posting someone with a higher title under someone with a lower one, because the dissatisfaction can lower their loyalty to the degree of straight rebellion a year or two in the future. There are other possible pitfalls of mismanagement, but my knowledge of moonrunes is too lacking to be of use against most of them, especially some random events affecting your popularity both with the ruler and local population.

The only consistently useful special ability is the wave gun, save for the odd cases you really need that dump cargo. Need to maximise that turn advantage.
Honestly, the most difficult part about warfare is having to deal with the AI spamming anti-war demonstrations all the time, at least on the MZ mod. Vanilla is a lot better with the fewer officer count... but waifus.

MZ Mod is a chink overhaul that replaces everything with weebshit, 90% of which are, of course, girls.
It also comes with 5 different FFA-style maps.
Probably the better version to play if you aren't interested in the base game's (untranslated) main plot.

I use textractor for the dialogue works fine with google translate, but to avoid google translate wait limit, you need to use an offline translator but it has worse translation than google.
I wish japanese boards would actually let foreigners post on them, here I'm surrounded by peasants like >>42375. Reading sites on which you can't comment is painful.

Why so many people fall into the trap of either using machine translators or actually learning the language, there is a nice middle ground. Learn basic grammar with Tae Kim's guide, hook text with text hooks like textractor, and then read kanji with rikaichan/rikaichamp. https://vn-hooking.fandom.com/wiki/Visual_Novel_Text_Hooking_Wiki . The best part about this is that you will be learning language passively without much effort and without boring yourself to death with kanji grinding.

The only community active for this game are fucking spics who do not speak english, and keep inserting NTR bullshit.

I have found that in the unmodded game there is a limit to a clan/royal dynasty size of 64 members or something near. Any more births result in automatic stillbirth. It's a pity that I can't win with simply superior numbers on my side. Guys, is there a similar limit in the modded game? Is there a mod to raise it? From what I saw in the ana.txt, there is no variable about it.
Replies: >>44146

It depends on the number of dead/unused characters in the database.
The game comes with only so many unused characters to slot children into. After a certain point, it starts re-using dead characters and if it can't even do that, it prevents births altogether.
The answer is basically to install some character packs and then edit your new characters to be loaded in as dead/unused at scenario start.
>>42944
I do re-seed the torrent from time to time, and the only difference between the two versions of the MZ mod uploads is the very last batch of event translations from HF before it died. It shouldn't be incompatible afaik. The vanilla versions are fucked with all the different mods installed though.

But yes, time to let the poor thing die already. It was already long abandoned even during the HF days- it has no real reason to be kept on life support like this except for the nostalgia.

Nah, that translates to "sex capable age", and is set to 5. But I just went through the file again and found the setting. It's 担当に配属可能な最低年齢, which didn't have any sexual connotation to it, but means something like "Age at which the person can be assigned to be in charge (of something)". Turns out, assigning someone as mistress is the same as being assigned to defense, logistics, etc., so lowering that setting allowed me to assign them as mistress.

If you play a low rank character you'll be in talk/quest mode for a good bit.
By doing good things like quests or missions, you get merit, which you can see in yellow here. Every 1000 is one rank but you're only promoted at the end of the year. You can find rank in red, with a few subcategories highlighted. Purple being the royal family, green being the nobles/elites, and blue being the ranks you'll be able to create a faction and receive military command. You get people to join your faction by either vulturing new people or getting people to like you, you can see relationship in pink, with 1 being slave, 2 lover, 3 friend, 4 normal, 5 hate. They generally need to be 3+ to join but they can refuse depending on various factors. You get more ships the higher rank you are, a rank 9 will get 100, but Lulu here gets 240. You can also add family/subordinates to your personal fleet which helps a lot too, but that's usually a later thing too unless you play as someone with a family or are high rank.

To take over you have three options, "peacefully", coup, or independence. To "peacefully" take over, you need to be a part of the royal family with a large faction and demand the throne from the ruler. To coup you need a large control over the nations fleet and you will endless battle every fleet not under your command, if you win you're the new ruler. Independence requires a planet under your control which you generally need a large faction for. This doesn't require anything but a planet but you're likely going to be death warring your former nation so you'll want a bunch of people who will follow you. I don't know what determines who follows you because this option is honestly kinda pointless as by the time you get a planet you'll usually be able to coup anyway which is the superior option. Coups will usually lead to a similar situation except you balkanized the nation as most factions will declare independence if there's enough planets so you are fighting a bunch of weaker nations instead of one potentially very strong nation.

There's one fast way to rise in ranks, which is to knock up a female ruler. You are promoted to a noble on birth. It requires a special item though. I don't know how to get it legit.
Replies: >>48363 >>48367
>>48356
Officer play while starting out from a low rank can be tedious because of how slow merit generation can be when you have so little control over it, and also because of the 1 promotion limit per year. It's especially bad if you end up being stuck as a bodyguard for just having the wrong sort of stats. I'd edit your start so that you can start out as a higher rank, tbh. It's not like there's any sort of canon to mess around with in the MZ mod.

You pretty much need a faction to do anything, but it also becomes pretty rewarding when you do, since you get to enjoy most of the benefits of being a ruler without the micromanagement. I personally prefer playing as an officer and just demanding contorl over Fleet, Tech and Diplomacy.
>>48343
>How do I get promoted?
Gain more merit and wait for end of year
>How do I create my own faction and get others to join it?
You can create a faction once you have at least 8000 merit. You will be able given interactions to have people join your faction once you create one.
>How do I get more ships for my personal fleet?
Are you referring to the one used for side-quests (e.g. rebel/pirate hunting)? You can't increase the ships you have there, only level it up to gain better stats. And eventually reset everything in order to buff your actual fleets.
Replies: >>49675
>>48356
>It requires a special item though. I don't know how to get it legit.
Actually if you get assigned as the bodyguard of the ruler, you can freely meet them which can eventually lead to sex if they like you enough. Of course this will require you to have very good stats to be assigned a bodyguard role, and this might be only for the modded run I did, since I've never played the basegame.

Apparently you can't fuck your lolis before changing this setting
//オルド可能年齢
It is 18 by default, I changed it to 10.
For some reason "stop aging of female characters" was on by default, changed it to off.

I got married to a 16 years old girl, but was confused why I can't fuck her. My dad, the king, arranged it for me.

Found 2 bugs. I played as a prince, married to a 16 year old girl, and whenever I tried to interact with her, she just said "that's not interesting, I don't understand politics very well". Eventually when I approached her she said "please have sex with me", and was saying something akin to "your dick is better after all", I suspect ntr was bugging out. Once she reached 18, the "have sex" command finally appeared, and it showed a virginity loss scene, even though we clearly fucked before.

And second bug, is when I'm not a king, but still a very powerful person, I can recommend sending ships to attack a city of our allies. What will happen after that, is, ships will fly there, nothing will get captured, and ships will simply disappear from the map once it reaches the ally planet.

You should translate tutorial. I played untranslated version, it was painful, it took me like 5 hours just to click through all tutorial topics and follow it.

Played through "hystorical events mode", it's rare to see good guys lose. I've only seen one event chain.

This game has good difficulty slider. Not just a "enemies now have twice as much health", but "we are slowly adding more game mechanics so that you can have fun right now without learning the entirity of it".

This game is pretty much "power struggle - the game". It seems the devs expected you to play as a commoner rising to the top of the hierarchy, overthrowing the throne, conquering all your neighbours, and ruling the world. It is interesting to see the perspective of "yes, there is war somewhere, but I barely care, I have no control over it", and just jumping to the other fraction once things went bad. They usually execute the king, but for other officers they make offers to switch sides.

This game would be better if game didn't just throw you to the main menu once the world gets united, if you could fuck somebody other than fellow officers (you tell me there are only 3 girls on the entire planet? are you kidding me?), if you could have more than one wife as a commonner (taking over the country just so you could fuck five girls on it is a bit extreme), if fucking your wife didn't take you an entire month, if you could switch player character mid game or continuing playing as your kids, if you could play this against actual humans. I'm pretty much asking a wargame to be a life simulator, yes. TW does a better job at that, but in TW you can't go to war.

There is ACT meter on the main screen, it starts with 1, but slowly goes to 2, 3, 4 as you are getting older. What does this mean? I still can only talk once a month or do quest once a month even with ACT being 4.

Combat is too complicated for me, please explain what happens in there. Tutorial barely covers it. Or rather, all options for combat, and fleet composition. What all those spaceship types do?

Half did my first playthough of a big map, it took me so long to raise up to rank 1 that my country barely had any chance to win at this point. My neighbor with most planets offered to switch sides, which I did. My wife and daughter are still in the older country. Should I just give up on women from now on? Or can I fuck them dispite being married if I date them long enough? I expect the rest of the game to be very easy but also very boring. Maybe I should start again, but as a king this time. It's hard to find a good looking king in this game.

What do asterix symbols "*" near some options mean?

I should ignore actually playing this game, and just restart it frequently enough to get all waifus. Restart game, fuck all easy girls on the planet, restart game again, repeat.

>I played as a prince, married to a 16 year old girl, and whenever I tried to interact with her, she just said "that's not interesting, I don't understand politics very well".
Personality limits your success with conversation options pretty hard during officer play. You'll need to pick the "right" ones, but they might not always be available, iirc, at least on the english versions.
> I can recommend sending ships to attack a city of our allies.
Are you sure you're actually setting the planet as a war goal instead of just a destination?
> There is ACT meter on the main screen, it starts with 1, but slowly goes to 2, 3, 4 as you are getting older.
If you choose to idle your turn as an officer while your rank isn't top-tier (generally royalty), you can gain ACT points that month, which can be cashed in at intervals of 10 for special options. Fairly unique stuff, but generally not worth it, unless you really need your faction to roll out new tech upgrades.
>Combat is too complicated for me, please explain what happens in there.
Refer to >>8652 and come back if you still have questions. Some of the replies refer to special abilities, but those aren't nearly as relevant in vanilla due to being much more rare.

As mentioned in other posts, ranking up is a bitch. You really want a faction to do anything. Again, consider modding your starts.

You can fuck multiple women despite being married, but with the one action per turn limit, might as well just commit to the whole being chaste thing, at least not without cheating.

...I probably shouldn't have played as a general then as my first play. But oh well, it was fun anyway. Playing as a ruler is more mindgrinding here anyway, playing a general is a good introduction.

>Are you sure you're actually setting the planet as a war goal instead of just a destination?
The ruler was asking 4 of his generals "which planet we should attack?" (maybe I misremember the exact line), and I picked the closest one, not knowing that we are currently in aliance. Ruler chose my proposal, because my faction is the most influential. Next day he hired a pirate to help in the war, and I saw a fleet slowly going to the planet. But once the fleet reached the planet, it just disappeared from the map (without getting destroyed), and the message "pirate X died" showed up. I can post a save if needed. I'm playing the >>42337 ui-translated unmodded version.

>I'm pretty sure that the english versions being behind on patches also hurts it.
Where can I get the latest untranslated version?

Confused about how to do quests as a general. Faction leader tells me "do thing X", then fortune teller tells me "to do X, get on good terms with guy Y". I get Y's trust, aaaand nothing happens after that. Maybe I should go drink with that guy some more and something will happen.

Tried to date a princess as a general, it either intentionally gets progressively impossible, or the game runs faster than the developers expected, so I had to use Cheat Engine's speed hack there. first minigame is simple if you know what's coming, second minigame with math is really damn hard for my brain that didn't do math for years but I managed after 30 minutes of retries, third minigame with "stop the wheels at correct time" was simple, and 4th minigame with "press up to increase number, press space to attack" seems literally impossible without speed hack. Dating her still didn't lead to anything yet, both proposal and just pushing her down lead to nothing good, need to try again once she gets to 18.

Your daughter will never say "forget about mother, look only at me" to you, why live.

This game isn't the most texthooker friendly game around, it is ok during events, but during gameplay part it shits up textractor output at 30 frames per second. Maybe it's possible to find/make better hooks for it. During events it doesn't work with line wraps well, lots of repeats.

>continuing playing as your kids
Apparently that's possible, nice. A multi generational epic in a videogame form. Honestly a promising game.

>Eventually when I approached her she said "please have sex with me", and was saying something akin to "your dick is better after all", I suspect ntr was bugging out.
What happened there was high ranking characters can rape others without consequence. The AI gets some very basic options and one of them is rape. Doesn't usually happen to high rank characters like a princess, it's usually low rank characters. But it might be stat based. But since it was with a character that couldn't have sex it bugged out. The resulting sex scene was a fake scene that auto triggers if you interact with any character that was targetted for rape with high relations. I say fake because it doesn't actually run anything else like virgin loss and they can't get pregnant from it either.
>Or can I fuck them dispite being married if I date them long enough?
Some women are willing to fuck even if you're married. There's a bunch of personalities. The slut group will fuck without even confessing, which is what gatekeeps you post-marriage for some so they're still open. There's also a group of prudes that are hard to confess to and they will never accept a married mans confession. The others are harder but possible. A workaround is getting them in your faction. You can fuck those in your faction without confessing.
>>49611
> Maybe I should go drink with that guy some more and something will happen.
That's pretty much what you do. Just keep interacting with them and they'll eventually do the thing.
For the minigames yeah they're all fucked. You can turn them off and it's a stat check instead for auto complete. Confessing to royals is complicated but I don't think they have to be 18+, at least from what I remember.
>>48365
Hey, that personal fleet for quests also can train your subordinate officer stats, depending on the type of mission. You can assign two people as vice-leaders there and then later give them their own fleets when you have the capability. It's a pity though that if your faction grows too big, it will be fractured without warning too, and even your relatives, lovers and even slaves can later become your rivals and you can do nothing to prevent that, except reloading an earlier save and assassinating them in advance. That's pretty pointless though, because that only makes someone else to take their place.

And if you can't make any more fleets due to their limit of 10 per empire, then get a leading officer of one into your faction, then respec it with a specific type of reinforcements after taking combat losses (or just dissolve it and remake, but that's pretty wasteful).
>>49676
If it was just infantry issues, the fleet would've still sat there doing nothing. Being able to pick an ally's planet at all seems to be the issue here.
Something interesting: you can edit in the ana.txt both the year and pregnancy length (in months/game turns). Something for those autists that can't stand default pregnancy lasting 12 months in game. On the other hand causing the year last twice as long affects several important game triggers, so be sure if you want it to change that way.
>>49448
My guess is that it shows that they are on/off things for each game turn, and if you pick them once, you have to wait till next turn for them to be pickable again.

Search function, anon. All the english in the world is useless if your brain is retarded.

A few tips for newbies:
1. Start the game in intermediate mode, not expert mode. Expert mode forces you to set war targets and manage your pro/anti-war levels, making it quite annoying to conquer anything.
2. Consider turning espionage off if you're not used to the game. Espionage can be bloody annoying to deal with on both ends- the AI can be prone to hermorrhage officers extremely quickly due to it, for example. Relevant section in ana txt: 諜報担当を使用する

Hope it goes well.

if you can read it, then you can manually write and then use a translator to adjust your text. you practice writting, and also output readable text.
basically check if the translator gets mad at your text and what it suggests instead, it might be wrong but it's good to check at least
although machine translators for chink and gook languages all suck, so it might not apply to this case

Refer to this. Basically you need to gain the 'isekai' status to access the H part of the forum.
This means,
穿越 = 300节操 + 注册3天 + 20内容数 + 等待24-72小时。
which translate to
300 morality + registered for 3 days + 20 reply/post, then wait for 24-72 hours.

300 morality (morality is actually a meme in chink web because you are breaking all your morality when you visit H site) is the hardest to get here. You get only 10 morality by check in everyday. Other method include starting useful thread, making reply, or the do their newbie quest (if not mistaken that's alot of points there).
There isn't any reason to try doing all these though. The rai7 part of the forum is basically ded as they are waiting for rai8 since years ago.
>>53574
Probably not worth much as a forum but it still has a bunch of resources that some might be interested in.
The chinks have had more updates to the MZ mod since the 3.16/v30 version posted around here, for example.

Didn't know that they were making a sequel. At least it looks like they are actively working on it judging by the posts in the developer's blog, the latest one was from the 5th of this month. Can't wait to play it in the next decade.
Since we have chinese experts here apparently, can somebody give a hint on how to download this thing ttps://bbs4.2djgame.net/home/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=448881 ? I want everything 腐り姫 related from there, it is missing from the nyaa pack.

Or if anyone has share installed, apparently it's there too.

My chink is trash so excuse me if I misread, the beginning of the post says something like it's missing some games and about wanting people to contribute. At the bottom next to the locker it says that 21 people bought the topic and you need to pay 5 DB to unlock it. On the right of that you have a button to purchase the topic, which brings up a login screen.
I'm not gonna register on some random chink forum, so you're on your own from there.
If we're sharing resources, does anyone have a changelog between the different versions?
The wiki doesn't have it, and the old blog's been nuked so can't look there either.

Some screenshots from an imported/modified vanilla scenario 6 map. The game itself, including the .exe, is also slightly modded, including a change to 15 turns per year.
I think that the maps included with the english distributions of the MZ mod are kind of bad (not sure what the later chink versions look like)- they feel way too open and with too much space, but the vanilla layout is actually quite good.

Started off as Earth, started off by smashing my way through the Source and East sectors. Initial conquests were pretty easy- Earth has a huge starting population, and none of the other planets come close.
Problems began appearing by the time I reached Dekurea though. While all my opponents until now were small fry, I now began to face off against a massive coalition from the West.

During the same time, IRA in Hosuen had also managed to unify most of southern Central. Then, allying herself with the faction at Bath (Marina Ismail/the Aquarion characters) invaded East, colliding with my forces at Kosutaru.
Luckily, I managed to get to Kosutaru first and pulled off a successful surrender before IRA and her zerglings reached the front, but ultimately it didn't mean much as the front devolved into a stalemate, with my fleets not able to do much but hold on against the fucking swarm the bitch was putting out.
The thing is, although I ended up conquering more planets overall, Source/East is actually pretty poor apart from Earth, meaning that I still had only about 9.5b population compared to ~12b I was facing.
Central is fucking overpowered on this map. No wonder Mikado was raping asses left and right in vanilla.

Anyway, while the battle around Kosutaru devolved into a grindfest, I noticed that while IRA had no trouble shitting out troops, Marina Ismail at Bath was running out money pretty consistently, so decided to strike out an expeditionary force against her near near the end of the year.
It... didn't go so well at first- while Bath itself wasn't well defended, it was also right beside where IRA was funneling her ships through in the first place, so the only thing my ships were doing was getting hammered. But while I didn't manage to actually conquer the planet, I managed to hold out long enough until I could get myself a surrender, so it worked out.
Still didn't change the stalemate though. While the economy difference shrunk to ~10.5b v. ~11b, the entrance leading out of East is a fucking shithole of a chokepoint, making it impossible to advance.

What did change things around though was events in Northern Central. There was a conflict there between the pro-IRA forces (led by the other Mikado in Vargo, who also conquered nearby Saxon), and an anti-IRA alliance in Herschel and Hagen, over the planet of Charon. The planet switched hands a couple of times, and as expected, its loyalty was shit, and somehow, decided to secede and become Earth territory.
This changed the course of the war- while Charon itself wasn't a great planet, surrounded by a bunch of hostiles wanting to take over, said hostiles were also hostile with each other, making it surprisingly painless to hold as long as you sat a couple of big enough fleets there.
The factions there also owned only one or two planets, meaning that they were also prone to running out of money, providing me opportunities to strike at them one by one- first at Herschel, then Hagen, and eventually Vargo (which, being a capital, also brought me Saxon).

And now, I'm finally poised to strike at southern Central and finally end this war once and for all.

Meanwhile, a certain BRITANNIAN empire that's been having its own fun over in the West and South sectors, while I don't know what the fuck is happening over at North because absolutely fucking nothing has been happening over there.
Looks like may developer released trial version of the new game anybody got a link to it

Is there a market with lots of money? Westerners either want vanillaest shit with watermelon-sized tits (for which regular porn is sufficient) or furry (requires selling your soul). Japanese are satisfied by domestic market. The remainder is 1.5 spergs /here/.
Replies: >>55420 >>55620

This one sperg here that's typing now would prefer modding the dynasty building/career/hentai aspects over some other, more fun game without the limitations like taking alternating turns, hex grid movement, limited number of tech upgrades etc. Take for example one of simpler 4X games titled Distant Worlds Universe. It's easy enough to mod, is pretty old, so its hardware reqs are low now, and its core mechanics rely on automation so strongly that in easy mode you can run it on AI scripts alone for hours without falling behind your opponents. You have a state ruler mode and pirate leader mode already built in there, all what it lacks is the subordinate mode and faction leader mode from big issues and items/equipment and grinding stats from lesser issues. The family system can be built over the "hero" characters mechanic that's already in the game. Nothing tried, nothing gained anyway.
Replies: >>55450
>>55420
I forgot that it lacks the taking prisoners mechanic as well.
>>54823
You might have to change that into being a "young male of undetermined age but totally above 18" who's mom, sister, female cousin, aunt, older women, teachers, etc. want to fuck him to breed them or a girl/woman getting fucked and impregnated by animals/insects/monsters or farting, which seems to have been gaining steam lately

It uses the new HSP format and no one has bothered to reverse engineer it yet. I wouldn't count on it happening soon either, considering how fucking niche of an engine it is. We'd be waiting for an extreme autist to step in.
Without the RE efforts there can't be no decrypting of the game's code and assets, which means no native translations. You can hook to it with textractor to at least read the dialogues and some of the UI.
>>69330
I did, but only for a bit. Author is a fag and removed loli sex, which killed my interest in the game pretty quickly.

>in the previous title you had only hebe sex without messing with the config file. There was nothing to remove.
Wrong, there are actually quite a lot of lolis in it, some with story events attached to them and everything. Did you have to switch a number in a config file? Yes, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there.
In this one the members of the harem have a hardcoded requirement of being at least 18 years old. You can change the 'adult' age in the ana file as well, but this only controls at which age the characters switch to using the adult sprite.
>>69350
As I mentioned, it won't be possible until someone reverse engineers the engine.
>>69349
I swear pregnancies were shorter, but it's been a while and I was disappointed with the game so don't quote me on that.
I can tell you with confidence that twins are not a thing though. There's a finite pool of characters in the game, they're predefined in the scenarios, and this also applies for 8th. Once every possible character is born no more can exist, and every pregnancy ends up as a miscarriage. Adding twins, or any kind of multiple births, would just make it so you get to the character limit sooner.

You could edit pregnancy duration in ana.txt.
//懐妊から何ヶ月で生まれる?(懷孕至生產的月數) is the line. you can edit a ton of stuff in there. Careful turning it too low though as even with the dead rebirth mod it's fairly easy to run out of characters.
A question about that modded RAI7. If you start the game as a pirate, you can pick a 17yo guy with a 17yo wife and a 10yo daughter, among others. Interesting numbers, because if you count back to the daughter's birth, it's quite surprising she could any chance to be conceived. I guess it would require some future tech, but for what reason?
Replies: >>69377 >>69379

*she could have
>>69376
In the game, if she's old enough to have progressed from the baby to the child portrait, she's old enough to fuck and get pregnant.
You aren't playing the game properly if your daughter hasn't giving birth to at least 6 other daughters by the time she's 10.
Replies: >>69380
>>69379
The question wasn't about something optionally done by the player, the question was about something already present at the start of the game map without any modification to ana.txt.

Alas, there is many different modded rai7puk out on taiwanese boards, and they don't necessary have the same mods put together.

The best method is to actually put in the mods yourself. It's pretty simple, just paste the mod into your folder and that's it. You need to make sure the game version support the mods, though...
