Archiveautist here. I'm guessing that the comment related to the fact that all it took was the word "Savin" to send him on his way into a rant. You're correct, however, that Savin wanted Helia to be a promiscuous fuckbuddy instead of an Amily-esque lover. He consistently referred to her as a "frat bro" - this is not too bad until you consider that he had recently moved into a dormitory and started university.. but whatever. For posterity's sake, here are some quotes from the man himself about Helia's character design. Apologies if the meme arrows get all fucked up, I am rather tired and must press on with my work:
>When I wrote Hel, I basically intended for her to do anything and everything the PC did -- especially the weird or fucked up things, like attacking sex partners with a deadly weapon and then raping the shit out of someone who would have just fucked her back anyway. Not that I'm saying that shouldn't be off putting. Indeed, I frequently go out of my way to make Hel less than appealing or have her do questionable or stupid things.
>She's a rowdy, shit-talking, fun-loving amazon warrioress. Combat is foreplay to her, she has a huge thing for group-sex, and she loves it up the butt. Will gladly consent to group-sex. Prefers to be dominant, or at least domineering -- she'll tell you want do do, yell cheesy shit like "Yeah, fuck my ass!" etc.
>Yeah, Hel would join in if you started a relationship with Helspawn; she'd be happier about it if Helspawn wasn't the Champ's daughter, but if she is, then hey. Better it be the Champion than some horrible rape monster.
>I think Hel's complacent before her pregnancy. She's honestly happy for the first time in... quite a while, living with the Champion. Where she is now, she can forget about the demons, the harpies, the gnolls, everything that's wrong with the world. But suddenly, she's responsible for something -- someone -- for what's probably the first time. Before having her daughter, she felt she was free: she didn't *rely* on the Champion, didn't *need* him (she tells herself, anyway). With her little girl, though, she has someone who needs her and in turn, she and Helspawn both need the Champion. Hel wants to give her daughter what she lost (a family, together and happy), and what she never had (a life free of the demons, and a world that isn't tearing itself apart with lust and violence). Hel resents it, really, but she knows that she can't be complacent, can't just sit in camp and fight and fuck anymore. She can't just live for herself, and for the simple pleasures she ekes out of life. She enters a new life stage, called the Pale Flame, where she's suddenly *very* fertile, and her body craves a child. She's desperate by the time she even tells the PC, and just wants the Pale Flame to stop. If you (or, lacking a cock, Mai from the bar) pump a kid into her, she's none too pleased with what she's done to herself. when she comes to her senses. Drunk mistake/hangover regret is a good analogy. Just with hormones replacing booze.
