I think they're referring to the Redhead+ mod. The mod has a load of visual changes, and even though the main point of it is to turn Hiro into a sluttier looking redhead you can still edit his appearance whenever you're making a new run. I'd say it's worth a try simply because the modder made the in-game font actually readable.

Maybe I don't belong here talking about games explicitly made for their sexual content but I enjoyed playing through this game as a pure virgin. It was a decent challenge for the most part. Late game got fairly easy since the protagonist was quite strong by then but the final boss did require a reload and second attempt. One complaint would be the way some content seemed locked behind sex scenes. I couldn't find a way to get Trudy's quest without being  deflowered. Perhaps that can come with updates

I agree. The food mechanic gets a bit annoying, it took me a while to realise I needed to stay at the inns sometimes, to get a lot of food from the night's sleep. The hunger charm effect doesn't stack either, unfortunately. I always saved before running out of food so I could retry the foraging attempt as well. Some of the outcomes were too distasteful, especially for a pure virgin playthrough. I see your point about the character artworks too, clearly the creator has a preferred style. Agility is the only requirement for stealing, each merchant further into the game requires more agility to steal. There's 2 checks for stealing, so you can either steal an item and get "punished" or steal it and get away with it, with higher agility. 
In order of easiest to steal to most difficult (First town)General store > Blacksmith > (2nd town)Magical General Store > Strange Merchant > Witches cottage
For the best gear you want to most likely steal from the Magical general store, requirements:
8-9 Agility: steal 1 item but will be punished
10-11: steal 1, punished for stealing 2nd
12-13: steal 2, punished for 3rd
14-15: steal 3, punished for 4th
Lookup the ToA wiki for all the stealing details.

It seems like Majalis are taking being game developers seriously. Their most recent updates are mostly about the combat AI, and it looks like the next major update will be the culmination of this, turning combat into chess. If what they've been working toward is achieved, a opponent with five combat options will be able to look ahead one turn and simulate 25 outcomes, two turns and simulate 625 outcomes, etcetera, within a single frame. They've also talked about enemies telegraphing their attacks through expression changes and dialogue and coding lists of behaviors. If this works out, this'll turn into a "I play it for the gameplay" kind of game. I wonder if this could be lifted and ported into other games (i.e. Lilith's Throne) or if the differences in engine are too great.

The most recent update includes getting Kylria and Trudy goblin pregnant by getting them boned by a female goblin then the right characters.
