This is the Corruption of Champions mod being developed by the anons of /hgg/.
Corruption of Champions is a text-based flash game overhauled with new dungeons, new mechanics, new characters, and a lot of lolis.
The mod is open to submissions: anons can write scenes, proof them, or contribute to the code.

>Progress is likely to be glacial but I'm going to keep at it, likely just tinkering around the edges for now.
Keep notes on what things you change. Don't just download beescene.hx, change a bunch of stuff, and post it. Label which scene it is, and briefly what you changed in it.
>Is there any particular workflow you have or a way you keep organised or are what we see in the pastebin files representative of how things look whilst you are making them? I used to use OneNote back when I was GMing but it seems to have changed for the worst.
pst.moe links are representative of how the submissions should look. For managing your projects, do whatever works, though use plaintext, not rich text.
Can't speak for anyone else's workflow, but I manage things by having multiple docs with names like "CharacterName Encounter.txt" and "CharacterName Victory Anal.txt" or whatever and just have them in a folder with everything else
And I have one giant note.txt file that I jot down to-dos, ideas, and so on.
This is likely not the best strategy, but it's simple and it works. All that matters is that you have something that works for you.

Marbleanon here. I like how this site looks.
I have not been working on anything, though I do want to finish those new Minerva scenes I was working on. Getting back in the rhythm is harder than actually writing the scenes, so if I could do that, I'd have no problem finishing what I have left, because it's not that much.

Lots of things. The short version is I gave her new purification scenes that don't contradict the worldbuilding, allowed to purify her without being lovers, expanded on her parasite, fixed a lot of typos and repetitive narration and gave the option to remove her dick and balls. The long version is >>75704
As for what I want to work on next, it's date-like scenes where you take her to explore Mareth with you once she's pure, either as friends or lovers.

What about finding her shark daughter and their inbred child and making her part of your harem or the option to kill them to get rid of loose ends
Replies: >>76929
>>76928
That's planned. Once I finish the dates, I want to write her daughter, Leira, into the game, but she'll only be available for players who romanced Minerva, since she only speaks to you about how they got separated if you're romancing her and it simplifies things for the better.
She'll have a small quest centered around helping her fix her relation with her mother and you could have sex with her during and after. There won't be threesomes with Minerva because it's not in-character unless I make a corrupt route, but I don't want to think of that before I finish all else.
Minerva's inbred granddaughter will be a stillbirth, and her loss will have a big impact in the quest and Leira's character.
Is there a variable that refers to the total amount of XP required to get to the player's current level? If not, would "playerLevelTotalXP" be a fine variable name for that?

Extra round of proofreading and applied all the fixes for Snuggles part 1 and 2: https://pst.moe/paste/zlxdsx https://pst.moe/paste/keiszp
Note: This was written by 2hufag
Thank you anon that proofread it before me, it helped a lot. You only caught half of it, but I missed some of the stuff you caught.

Snuggles is a fairly poor girl trying at becoming a merchant, despite the fact most people look down on her kind and so doesn't have much of a customerbase before you. However, she has a bubbly, childish personality, and—this all sounds a little familiar.
Very distinctly different personality than Telly though, and twice her size.

Also I read so many instances of cute I'm gonna fucking snap. "She cutely giggles, [say:blablablah]. She lets out a cute laugh."
Her cute face cutely grins and I can't stand it. So I erased more than half the permutations of 'cute' in it.
This man refuses so much to say "she says" and will use every alternative but cannot find a way to describe something in a cute way without saying cute.

It's fine, it's fine. Cut out half of them and it's okay he says it here and there.
Replies: >>76934
I like her well enough, seems cute, obviously needs more sex scenes, but good start and room to work on it. Maybe some dialogue with other camp followers in talk once she's shacked up good and proper? Her take on them.

I just want to float this goblin plot for feedback/opinions. It's not mine, but someone's working on it.
Remember El Goblino's goblin daughterwife cult? No? Well it's back with a new interpretation.
>Tamani
After pumping her full of babies enough, the player can find her cave where she lives with all her daughters.
Things progress, you make a harem out of her and her spawn.
I think he mentioned you could get Lynette and her daughters too.
You meet a goblin shaman that knows more about the history of the goblins, in which that rare goblin male is explained as the reincarnation of their god who chose to become a mortal so he could take his daughters (goblin kind as a whole) as wives.
However, when this population of goblins left their homeworld through a portal, the next incarnation of their god ended up on Mareth, where corruption has made him a degenerate.
You end up taking him out, which means he can reincarnate again in a thousand years and hopefully be better than he turned out here. In the mean time, his harem is yours.

Yes, Zelda. That's deliberate.
Replies: >>76945
It's pretty thin on the ground, but it might make Tamani vaguely interesting in some form, so hell, if you think you can, try it.

Also, incest good, so I'm biased.

In Zelda, only one male Sheikah is born each century, and is always king by birthright; Ganondorf was one such male. The one reincarnating goblin male in the plot proposal is the connection here.
Zelda barely ever even implies the existence of sex, let alone incest.

The gerudo are an all-female race of unusual height who one every thousand years have their only male birth, who is the mortal incarnation of a god, and they make him king.
Forgot to mention the goblins also make their reincarnated god their king every time, too.
Goblins are gerudo, gob king is Ganondorf.

I believe it's been a thing since Ocarina of Time, but probably doesn't come up again after that until the BotW and TotK games. Might come up in Skyward Sword, since Ganondorf is the reincarnation of the god Demise and that's where he makes his debut.

I don't like goblins being gerudos.
Replies: >>76965
>>76964
I never had any nintendo consoles growing up so I've never played any of them.
I like tan-brown skinned desert peoples their pointy noses diminish their attractiveness for me though. Also they feel kind of gypsy coded to me but I can't explain why.
The Gerudo all also seem to be pretty tall, not very goblin like but that doesn't really matter for the narrative. A "dark" elf esque slave girl wouldn't go amiss in this game though.
Regarding this kind of topic, what you should ask yourself is not, "would I be okay with a Zelda reference being in this CoC mod?" (the answer is "it's probably like a quarter as influential as Lord of the Rings ever was at this point as far as pop culture is concerned. It's fine. Deal with it.")

Rather, the question to ask yourself is, "is this specific plot point used for goblins actually interesting on its own merits?" Basically, nobody should give a fuck if it's a reference or not. Does it fit the goblinoids' vibe and identity? As far as I'm concerned, goblins usually have some kind of shamanistic culture, and I think the idea of men being born to them only once in a blue moon fits the vibe. They need some "cultural lore" for that, so it fits the mentality. They're a grubby little race of fucksluts with fat asses that only sometimes veer into the realm of "comically smart/capable" (Lumi, the assassins, etc.). A race like that doesn't just spawn naturally. It's utterly ridiculous on its face. They would immediately get absorbed into any other dominant culture nearby or get wiped out. They lack the pride and tradition of the Gerudo, to say nothing of their lack of physical strength and stature.

Therefore, I think the idea of a goblin prince of immense power gives them some kind of cultural center of gravity to keep the race a bit more sensible and grounded. Plus it would be REALLY hot to forcibly turn him into a girl and completely shit all over goblin culture, breaking an eons-long cycle by absorbing him into my ever-growing harem of exclusively women.

The goblins currently live in matriarchal societies of 100 to 300 members, each one a descendant of their ruler. Goblins only give birth to goblins, not even demons or other monsters can get them pregnant with anything else, so goblin males are not needed.
Goblins were known for their inventions and only became horny retards thanks to the corruption, with those who didn't get corrupted being taken as slaves to invent shit for demons. Likely they used to have a respectable, technologically capable society that could fend off any intruders until the demons defeated them, not by force but by poisoning their water reserves.

Didn't know all that besides the goblin pregnancy thing but honestly I'm surprised they invented that lore for them and then went and made them goblins specifically instead of some other race.

One wonders if goblins inherit *any* traits from their fathers at all.
Tried to do a centaur character for the first time, but couldn't. Is there something fucky getting it? I had hooved feet from mino blood and a bunch of equinums, but every try just got me closer to the horse bad-end and never the taur body.

What would it be used for?
Probably what makes the most sense is a general function that calculates the total experience to any level, with the player's level being the default. Or total xp between any two levels, with 1 and player's level being the defaults.
Something like xpTotalToLevel or totalXpToLevel would make sense for the former, given the existing xpToLevel function. Maybe xpFromLevelToLevel for the latter? Kind of verbose, but perfectly clear what it does. The name isn't that important in any case.

I was just working on the XP-draining magical girl some more (I am up to 125 thousand characters in this fucking battle scene with all the branches; send help) and labbing out what ought to happen should the player's XP go negative, and I just needed a name that got the idea across to use in some kind of formula.

I'd like for there to be some kind of ramping debuff to your stats the lower it goes, so that if you keep losing to her, the punishment never loses its edge, but I was mulling over exactly how to suggest the implementation of it. One option -- and I would call this a naive implementation -- would be to have the player's current/max stats go down by 1 per level "lost," in the exact reverse of the sequence they were gained. So, if you're at level 20, you'd be at -1 to All as soon as you're in the negatives, but you'd need to lose <the amount of XP to go from Level 19 to Level 20> in order to get to -2. It would start monumentally slowly and ramp up in speed over time, and I don't think it would be very appealing to the people who'd actually want to engage with the character and her particiular fetish.

...Of course, the *optimal* solution for the intended audience would be to implement actual level drain, but forcing the player to un-learn perks and lose stat gains in order of acquisition feels more than a bit presumptuous to ask of the coders.

Anyway, the best, simplest formula I could come up with would be to subtract from the player's current/max stats the absolute value of (playerXP*playerLevel/playerLevelTotalXP), rounded up, where playerLevelTotalXP is the variable I was asking about. Basically, it averages the amount of XP-per-level to get to the player's current level as if the curve were completely linear, making the punishment for being drained much more regimented and consistently-threatening. As a co-objective here, I'd also like it to work in such a way that if anybody else wants to use the mechanic for their own encounters, they find the mechanic satisfactory.

>I just needed a name that got the idea across to use in some kind of formula
For things like that, just call it whatever (could be something simple and nondescript like "x" if you want), and have a note explaining what it represents (you'll want the note regardless of what name you pick). All that matters is that it's clear how you want things to work.
>implement actual level drain
Would be simple enough as long as you don't lose perks, only perk points. Perks with a level requirement can be disabled if you drop below the required level.
If keeping perks and just losing stats and HP isn't threatening enough, you could have some additional debuff based on how far into the negatives your perk points are.
>lose stat gains in order of acquisition
The order isn't tracked, and wouldn't be very plausible to track, especially given that spending stat points isn't strongly linked to leveling up (especially after mid-game when you've already capped things, so stat points are just for topping up stats if they drop, completely unrelated to levels) and there are variable modifiers to stat gains (including spending stat points).
Just losing stats (when there are no unspent stat points left to take) evenly or at random or some other standard method would work though.
>consistently-threatening
Consistently per level, but still far less threatening at higher levels, unless her drain also scales enough to somewhat match the totalXP curve.

I wouldn't mind perks with level requirements getting disabled as the player drops lower, too. Sounds hot. I'm ambivalent enough about the concept though that I'll defer to the opinions of others (especially the coders) on whether or not it's worth it. It should be easy enough to track, though (current level minus however many "levels" your XP debt equals).

>Just losing stats (when there are no unspent stat points left to take)
See, I would like to avoid the situation where the player gets hit with this "punishment" and then just uses their 30 banked-up stat points as a shield to insulate themselves from the consequences of it. Though, don't get me wrong, this isn't because I want to be mean to the player, but rather because I have this fetish and know what gets me going with it. I suggest reducing the current AND maximum values of each stat according to each level "lost" specifically so that the player has some kind of "inescapable demerit staring them right in the face and being immediately mechanically present in a way they can't just ignore." Because, you see, if it is ignorable, then it's less hot, and if the way my fetish works is an indication of how it works for other people into this stuff, then I think they'll want it to work that way, too.

(Correct me if I'm wrong, any anon here who happens to also like level drain and other related things.)
>unless her drain also scales
It does. The exact formula's not final, but the placeholder implementation is you lose [75+(30*minaLevel)^0.5 +/- 10%] XP for a "standard" drain. So, the more she steals, the more she levels up, and the stronger the stealing gets. At level 1, she's stealing 95-115 XP, and at Level 100, she's stealing 10% north/south of 375 XP every time she beats you. For reference, she needs 99 + (minaLevel^1.2) XP to level up.

Here's what her XP requirements and XP thievery per level look like in a graph (green is her XP needed to level up, blue is how much she steals for a "standard" drain). It's tuned such that she *should* be leveling up at least once every time she beats you, but I'm definitely doing more than a little guesswork when it comes to how many times the people who like her are even going to want to encounter her. Depending on the answer to that, she might have to steal more or steal less, but I still want this basic "relationship" between these two curves to remain roughly the same.
