So, I think something this place could be missing is a thread for general Nep News and topics. I saw this today and figured this could be a good way to get things started.
What do you all think of the pre-order news for Re:Birth 3 on the Vita?
It's a little tempting, but I'll just pick up a normal copy.
Replies: >>258
They're really bland tbh. Mousepad is okay, oppai would be better. Doll thing should have been a figurine. Now, the Dream edition of VII on the other hand…

I really like the idea of the artbook. That kind of stuff is always nice to get a hold of.
>>256
I'm picturing it as a "Purple Heart & Iris Heart" oppai pad. Four tits and this thing becomes a minefield instead of a mousepad

Well, with the new video, I think we can guess what Blanc will play like

Posting best girl.

How come in Re;Birth 2's normal end they can whack the boss around fine but in the CQ end they can't, despite no differences in the lead up to the two endings?
Replies: >>268
>>267
Maybe it has to do with the price paid for the CQ end?

I never thought of it before, to be honest, and just figured they did that to give them somewhat different flavors.
Replies: >>269
>>268
Tastes like plot holes to me. I mean, no different from the deus ex machina moments, but still.
Replies: >>270
>>269
Possible - maybe they messed up which boss scene they wanted for the two endings? I mean, given the strength in the CQ ending, it's possible they just screwed up and never went back to fix it.

That's true, although now I do wonder what a day with Neptune would be like. Probably a good deal of jokes
http://gematsu.com/2015/06/extreme-dimension-tag-blanc-neptune-vs-zombie-army-story-synopsis-first-trailer

Cant find the thread for the blanc game so I post here instead.

My worry seem to come true. The mention of birth rate and age populance seem to indicate there might be a chances for self insert character or original character to appear to help with the reproduction.

And the idea of goddess actually attend school for military purpose really baffled me when they have been battling for many years….I am really starting to lose interest now.

Have a feeling the Geki Noire drama will happen again soon…..

Seriously I can think of a lot of way to make a musou game.
Replies: >>319 >>322
>>318
That's ok if you can't find the thread. This is the general Nep thread, so anything goes here, and news is always appreciated.

That part about the birthrate just seems weird, considering I thought the CPU candidates are born from shares, and I don't quite know if that's how the CPUs are born, too.

When they say goddesses trained in great numbers, does that mean that we've got CPUs from different dimensions here? I mean, otherwise it's just the same 8 going to school forever.

Looks like it'll be a fun game to play, especially with the multiplayer capabilities, but I wouldn't expect too much substance here, unless we get some cutesy HS girl stuff.
>>318
>My worry seem to come true. The mention of birth rate and age populance seem to indicate there might be a chances for self insert character or original character to appear to help with the reproduction.

Why try to spread nonsense like this? It's more like the zombies are just representative of old games that have to/can't deal with change. Something like was posted on nepgen as well.
Replies: >>323
>>322
>>322
The thing about zombies being old games is interesting, but at the same time I do think the part of the game's description that makes it a point to discuss declining birth rate and whatnot is kind of weird, especially given what we know about CPUs being "born"

Replies: >>405

It's probably something completely different. I hope anyway, Nep is good and all but I wish CH would slow down.

Also do people here hate Puru unconditionally or is it just nepgen with a raging hate boner for her and anyone KanaHana related?
Replies: >>406 >>407

I agree - you don't want to OD on Nep

>Hate Puru
I just figured that was shitposting
Replies: >>408
>>405
>Wish Nep would slow down
I'm almost inclined to agree, not on the factor of ODing on Nep, but just because it's hard to throw so much of my money at Compile Heart like this. I feel like every month for the past half a year has had a new LE come out that I just HAVE to snag.
>>406
I thought so too, so either everyone is jumping in on it or they're very dedicated to it.

ODing on things you like is the worst, and I don't regret skipping everything up to RB3. Still the best barring VII because even though I won't ever be able to play it.
Replies: >>412
How the heck does the pricing of Nep DLC in the PSN work? I got all the Extra Content packs for Re;birth 3 for free today. Is that because I had the LE? The ones for Re;birth 1 and 2 were still $0.99.
Replies: >>410
>>409
Everything for RB3 was free, except Stella for some strange reason because she's the biggest reason to buy it.
Replies: >>411
>>410
Weird.

I read that Cave and Falcom were DLC for Mk2 but they were free with Re;birth 2. I wonder what's going on with IF/Compile Heart to cause all the oddness.
>>408
I've only played RB1 myself, but I'm interested in trying one of the non numbered games like Noire or U, and then return to the numbered games. I really enjoyed it, but I'm not sure if I want to jump right into another RPG
Replies: >>413

I don't recommend NepU. It's gameplay and content are both extremely shallow and repetitive. I think it must have only been made as a tech demo of the partner switching modifications being made to Senran Kagura's game engine for Valkyrie Drive.

Replies: >>416
>>413
Yeah, it wasn't very good. Mediocre at best. Hopefully they'll have put a lot more effort into the latest Tag Team Blanc + Neptune.
Replies: >>418
>>414
From the screenshots I've seen it looks like it. That also means it will probably be bad too since Blanc handles like shit in NepU. They managed to make hitting things with a giant hammer/axe boring.
Replies: >>418
>>413
After hearing how great it was I was really disappointed to find out that it plays like a slower, poor man's SK.
Replies: >>418
>>416
Maybe they needed the first game to get a feel for the hammer, and they'll have better control in Blanc

>>415
>>417
I guess I'll be looking into Noire then. Nothing against U playing like SK, but I've got SK for that
Replies: >>422
>>418
Apparently it has excellent character interactions, so if you're into the series for that, you may want to pick up U.

I never played it though because >muh localization

They're just unimaginative. Even worse, most of the neps have untextured white in-game. For a game with such prominent panty-shots, you'd think they'd put more effort into the underwear.

It's official, Neptune is rolling in style.
Is it time to Brake out the puns or should I Keyp it away from /nep/?

She's probably going to be making puns in the game, or getting depressed that she's not the main character this time around, not getting into actual combat besides the fight in the beginning of the game.
Whats the point of turning Neptune into a bike if she can't talk like Kit(t) from Night Rider.

I think it's been a while since I was able to bump this thread
In recent board news, I'm fixing many of the oldest threads that have been broken by the site back end changing over time.

In series news since the last post, many new Nep games have come out. Nep 5 is rumored to be on the way, there's collaboration game with a Canadian company and there's also a Nep phone game (an SRPG) being made.

Also Tsunako left Compile Heart because her parents are sick and she's looking after them. But she's still working on the Nep games.
