The axles thing has blocked me for the moment. I don't currently have the metalworking tools/stock needed. Also, I need to solve the bearings issue. Along with Anon's advice on the other board to use wood as the base platform, I've backed off on this in specific for the moment.

And since in-part the cartwaifu project is intended as a "rolling gantry" system for development of a fully-bipedal smol robowaifu project(s) (<=24" Sumomo-chan, to start with), I'm taking some time to get a 3D printer, printer, and lab rework done to support that project in parallel.

I've gotten most of the gear together for this stuff now (save the axle, bearings, and metal tools). I'll probably manage more progress on the bipedal project first (cheaper, easier). Hopefully that will motivate me to make time/spend resources to solve the cartwaifu drivetrain needs.
