For me it's the catharsis: a shift in emotional state after a compelling conflict and resolution.  Unfortunately this can be a bit hard to achieve when your characters and plot are poorly written.

that was your mistake. The franchise sucks. There's very little actually good about really anything in fate/. The only thing that it's got going for it is the occasional cool moment (usually involving Shirou. God he's so GAR.) and cute girls. Its all surface level appeal whose discussion is fueled by the influx of newfags and gacha-tards. The mistake I had when getting into the franchise was assuming any of the stories actually mattered to each other or even themselves.

I miss the several years of most artists drawing Fate and Azur Lane girls instead of Blue Archive. Fate had the best gacha girl designs next to Kancolle.

Anyway I'm looking forward to Fate/Strange Fake. The ep0/movie made for an interesting start and I really want to see Waver meet up with Ishkander/Rider again. I wonder if Shirou and Rin will get involved in this incident too.
