<The survey targeted consumers from Japan, China, Vietnam, France, America and Brazil, and an estimate cost of damage caused by online piracy of Japanese content was calculated based on their responses. The collected data was analyzed across five major categories – film (including anime and video content), publishing (books, manga, etc.), music, video games and character merch – with all categories seeing almost a triple rise in the amount of damages in the past 3 years; most notable ones being publications at 2.6 trillion yen and film at 2.3 trillion yen (excluding the aforementioned character merchandise piracy damages). Video games follow at 500 billion yen in damages, with 100 billion yen in damages for music piracy.

While digging around for train anime, I stumbled across Mushiba Tetsudou in a MAL list of all places. The description sounded like some kind of weird toothbrushing PSA, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was one, but "mechanical biological train" caught my eye and I knew I had to see this.
So what the hell is this shit? It's a 9 minute short about some kid on a mecha steam train that gargles toothpaste and blasts it at cavity people, which turns them into either regular humans or cavity coal to fuel its furnace. There's a bit of a plot which isn't really worth talking or caring about, mostly CG characters and machinery over 2D backgrounds, and some cool environments in Cavity Town. Really, there isn't a whole lot to say about it beyond that it looks nice, nicer than it had to be, and nice enough to go on the rail anime chart.
It's also directed by the guy who's directing that godawful CG Trigun show.

Etrian Odyssey HD collection comes out for Switch and Steam in a few days. However the Steam version has DENUVO so I would say go with the switch version and play them via Yuzu if you want to play them on a PC unless that has Denuvo too.
Best way to play Etrian Odyssey 4, 5 and X is mainly on Citra since the 3DS is a trash handheld. Much better resolution and all the other emulation perks. As for the Untold games, I don't really think they're worth playing.
I'd heard an interesting story while trying to get into Magical Girl Raising Project. Apparently, when the series was still in the public eye back around 2016-17 or so, it was discovered the guy who was doing translations at the time (PlatFleece I believe his name was) was actually incompetent at Japanese and making shit up as he went along (deleting or adding entire paragraphs for example), and everyone had fallen for it for like a year or so since nobody had bothered to get raws themselves and those that did and called Plat out were damage-controlled by a cocksucker cadre cultivated on Dicksword. The inability to verify until an entire retranslation of all the books up to that point was done played a large factor in the series falling into obscurity among Western circles, or so the story goes.
It was interesting to me because far as I knew at the time, bullshit TL stuff was done either by failed writers in official companies or agenda-driven cucks on Reddit and other such malcontent sites -- it kind of slipped my mind that autists could fuck up efforts for entirely separate reasons, like their own pride. That made me curious: What other examples of translation fuckery have you noticed in fan TL?

I'm making a game with anime art style. I know that i shouldn't post this in the anime board when it should be in the gaming board. The reasoning behind this is because anime anons are better gatekeepers than anon gamers. After all, the traditions behind anime are still intact more than the gaming industry with guidelines like making female characters without feminine attributes.
I at least know one solid way to detect infiltrators and that is adding an anime schoolgirl with big boobs as a banner in my forum. If someone suggests to change the banner because muh sexismos then there's an infiltrator to be banned.

I'm going to start off by recommending Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru: Futari no Elder The Animation (watch this encode https://nyaa.si/view/545396).
It's an anime adaptation of a yuri dating simulator which has the twist that the protagonist is secretly male. It's set in a Christian school for girls and there are no male characters other than the self insert trap protagonist. The characters live an almost perfect idyllic school life (some trouble is part of episode 2's plot) while yuri love develops without the characters themselves noticing, until it comes to a boiling point and they become aware of their feelings and yuri (literally) blossoms in one of the longest and most beautiful scenes of this kind I have ever seen, followed by a satisfying conclusion. It's an excellent anime. If you like Maria Holic, this is very similar, the main differences are that it's much more focused on the experience and the aesthetic and it doesn't have bullying.
The soundtrack is also quite nice and it was included in the BD set, unfortunately the only torrents are on U2 and they're not good, with one CD being distributed as a .bin file and all of them having corrupted cue sheets and no source for the track names that I can find right now among other sever issues, but if I find the information I need to organize the soundtrack CDs, I'll post them in the share thread.

60+ shows this season. They can't keep this up right? Either way, a ton of adaptions and sequels this season. Not many isekai from what I can tell. I think we're moving away from isekai and into the underdog/punished hero trend. This season is jam-packed with action but sadly little ecchi. Some shows that have caught my interest this season that aren't remakes or sequels.

What is the appeal of this confusing mess? For years I have tried to comprehend the enormous popularity of this franchise and it has always eluded me. It's not particularly well written, yet the anime industry seems willing to spend endless sums of cash adapting every possible route of a visual novel into any number of series and movies.
