Don't need much beyond this for resources because it's still updated, surprisingly.

>What are you buying?
M-da S-taro recently post an artbook for preorder for the end of June.

Besides that I'm getting these figs.

Recently got 3 artbooks. I didn't realize Disgaea RPG had an artbook 2 years ago and now I could only find it used. It was basically Harada Takehiro's latest artbook so I had to grab it. His character designs are wonderful. Another gacha artbook was the Last Period 2 artbook. Whoopin draws some amazing legs so I grabbed the first one years ago. Finally is Mda Satou's artbook for Tanaka the Wizard. It has many curvy lolis and thick thighs. He's also well known for drawing brown/demon girls.

>However shipping is insanely expensive
This would be a good time to start buying things in bulk. Especially since Comiket is only a month away. Once that goes down shipping will be crowded in Japan.

Didn't even realize Choro Club is releasing a new album this year. They also released a new album last year that I wasn't aware of. So I'm going to get my hands on that. For those not aware, Choro Club is a band that's known for making very comfy music. They did the OST for Aria and Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou.

Looks like you need a forwarding service to buy from the online store outside Japan.

Thought someone here might be interested in this. Even if it's shipping only in Japan. You can use Rabbit Japan and Tenso to ship it to you.

My day is ruined. I might paint the stripes on there later to make up for this crime.

Here's the figure just in case you guys try to buy it yourselves. Be aware. Be vigilant. Make sure panties are properly sculpted and painted!

I was waiting on other sites to provide some coverage of the event since they might have some better pictures but it's taking forever so I'll just dump now. These are images for Shanghai Wonder Festival 2024 which went down from Oct 2nd to Oct 4th.

I'm glad Vanillaware is just pumping out more figs for their beautiful characters. This isn't new for them but it's definitely more frequent. I want that brown elf.

Why would you have those in the first place? Some store that tries to sell them on top of the normal purchase to get above a certain price threshold to avoid paying various fees for you paying with credit? Just saying because I know a game place that does that out where I live.

Use them like Sumerian clay seals on containers and such you don't want other people getting into without your awareness. If the sticker's torn or peeled, someone's been in there.

that's nothing compared to the merchandise
I think I finally realized the "solution" to the "buyfag conundrum".
One of the things that's been bothering me about vidya for the past several years is just how many games have officially been released for free at some point. And this includes everything from recent AAA titles (Deathloop, GotG, Dead Island 2), to popular older games (Rogue Squadron, Splinter Cell, Lego Batman, Planescape), to even obscure as shit titles (A&OXXL, XIII, Flashback). And one of the problems I have with this process is that, to me, it gives zero reason to ever want to find and acquire these games in the wild. That there's almost never any point in wanting to get these games, or any other games for that matter, because you'll eventually get them for free (Legally) at some point.

And this is where I think the entire POINT of buyfagging gets overlooked. It has absolutely nothing to do with buying the popular or best games, or even supporting the creators. It has to do with the fact that you're buying a game that will never see the light of day again, and preserving that so other people can play that game in the future. All these other games that are "digital only" or being rereleased ad nauseam shouldn't or don't need to be bought because they will never become "lost media". Especially in this day and age where everyone is preserving the shit out of every single program shit out onto the Google Play store.

Meaning that is a game actually becomes somehow "lost" at this point, there's a damn good reason why.
Primarily wrote this for /v/, but it also applies to other media because I'me seeing more than enough anime getting released for free on Jewtube.
Replies: >>111867 >>111871

The solution is to pirate everything that can be pirated. If an anime is released legally on jewtube for free you should torrent it instead so you get higher quality video, audio, and fansubs. If a video game is available for free on steam you should pirate it instead so you don't need to waste time logging into steam or CPU/RAM running bloatware/spyware/adware like steam. All games with DRM are just temporary leases that will eventually be revoked when the service shuts down or you get b& for some reason, and all physical copies will eventually succumb to bit rot unless you back them up. Every dollar you spend buying something you could've pirated is a dollar you could've spent buying higher quality food, electronics, appliances, furniture, anime merch, etc.

>If an anime is released legally on jewtube for free you should torrent it instead so you get higher quality video, audio, and fansubs
The fansubs I don't care about when I'm trying to learn moonrunes. As for the "quality", I don't have the space for a 24 minute show being 2-3 GB in size per episode as I've found with a lot of torrent releases. Meanwhile for some of the series I've downloaded from JewTube, that 2-3 GB comprises the entire season. And I tend to give even less of a shit when the shows still look fine at 720p, if not 480p.
>If a video game is available for free on steam you should pirate
That's pretty much what I do anyway.
>Every dollar you spend buying something you could've pirated is a dollar you could've spent buying higher quality food, electronics, appliances, furniture, anime merch, etc.
Or, like I said, other games and anime that isn't being given away for free.

>it has absolutely nothing to do with...
>it has to do with...
That's a pretty arbitrary statement. It can be a reason you buy media, but it isn't the reason people buy it. Many buy them for the reasons you dismissed without giving a thought to your stated reason, or buy for a mixture of said reasions (or all of them).
For an example of how little people often care about this, I sometimes flat out can't find in-print hardcovers of books which i'd either want to pass down through the family or just have a sturdy edition which'd hold up to plenty of rereads. My personal favorite translation of the Iliad is very easy to come by in paperback, yet if I want a longer-lasting hardcover of it, I have to order a several decade old, out of print edition from overseas. I've even talked to people from much poorer, non-English speaking countries who are baffled by our lack of hardcovers, as they see us as throwing our money away on disposable trash instead of putting it towards things which last.

I've never really cared about the difference between hardcover and softcover books, just as long as I have the damn book. And I've had both types of books falling apart on me (Or other problems) because, surprisingly, things wear out when you use them and they age. However I've come to think that Japanese releases of books are altogther better with the wrap around covers and the obi being present regardless if it's a soft or hard cover release.

No wonder they are on sale.
I feel like I'm sort of a crisis when it comes to buyfagging media. On the one hand, I've noticed that companies have essentially released their entire catalogs for free, which is great in regards to how I don't have to spend money watching/playing/reading that stuff. But then there's the problem that they've even done it to titles that I own, and this is where I have much of the issue.

First is the fact that it allows me to offload a lot of material off my shelves since I can technically have it stored on a hard drive instead, which frees up room for other things, but I have no way to make a return on my initial investment. The console games I can easily enough trade in (At a reduced cost from what I paid), but no one wants to buy PC games or DVDs of films/TV series. And so I'm stuck trying to find someone who would take an interest in buying these pr accepting them as store credit.

The second part is the one I'm more irritated by, in that some of the stuff made "irrelevant" by companies doing this is that there are some of these media releases that I prize solely on the look and feel of it, but what's the point in having it take up space on my shelves? I suppose I could "hold on" to those more valuable, as I cab always sell them later if I change my mind, but I don't know much beyond that.

Mainly making this post just to talk it out.

If you don't care that all your media is always available for free on pirate sites (except some online multiplayer games) why do you care if it's free legally? Those companies can also change their mind about making it free legally at any time and start charging money to download it again.

Because I want to give these companies as few excuses as possible for why I'm not giving them my money. Consider how these companies are increasingly demanding that governments crackdown on "piracy", blaming it as the sole reason why they're losing. And if you're pirating their content that is for sale, you're proving them right. However if they give the items away for free and advertise those giveaways as being free, regardless if they later revoke that ability or it being a limited time offer, can they really blame piracy as being the "problem"?

This is bullshit and you're a fag for typing this. If I wanted to buy games, I would, but I don't, hence I pirate them. And if I can't pirate some title then I just don't play it, the same goes for practically all pirates.

When will you learn that money grubbing corporate goblins don't care about concepts like truth or reality and neither does the government, and that the only reason they spend valuable minutes out of their very busy money grubbing lives to communicate with humans is to manipulate you into giving them more money in any way they possibly can? It's the same tactic as claiming racism or sexism are the reasons they're not selling enough copies, then paying youtubers, podcasters and bots on 4chan and other imageboards to convince you to buy their trash to show that the democrats are the real racists or some other nonsense to "prove them wrong". Governments aren't even using piracy as an excuse for the age verification/anti-encryption/anti-VPN shit they're currently doing, they've gone with the "kids are looking at porn!" route instead, not that cutting down on piracy would change their minds even if they were using piracy as an excuse.

The average person should be taught how to help make companies that "went woke" go broke by pirating everything. Even if they don't agree with you at all politically and actually love the gay nigger shit shoved into most media, everybody likes saving money and their desire to snatch free stuff often overrides their desire to support the creators of the media they're consuming. When you pirate almost everything then you have more money to splurge on the few indies that don't put any gay shit in what they make.

Financially supporting what you know to be evil makes you an accomplice to that evil, and if you're religious, your religion provides you with plenty of easy to understand definitions and examples of evil so you can't pretend that evil is subjective. Walmart is run by jews which are the greatest enemy of humanity, so "stealing" from walmart is no worse than "stealing" the meat of a deer you killed. Why? Because you say so? Who said anything about allowing anyone to assert control over any ideas?

Copying an idea without someone's permission is not theft. It is a fundamentally different activity that makes no change in the material relations. You may not like the fact that computers empower any person on Earth today with the ability to trivially replicate even the most complicated ideas, but you don't get to redefine the meaning of "theft" to impose your rent-seeking behavior on others.

What do you guys have up for preorder? Recently Nikke has been draining my wallet when it comes to their figs. I'm scared to see what's coming soon.

What I have on preorder:
>Goddess of Victory: Nikke Red Hood - Nonsense Red 1/7 Complete Figure
https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail?scode=FIGURE-195084&rank=
Redhood is too sexy and I love this outfit.

>Yummy Hunter First Shot Hotty 1/7 Complete Figure
https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-047774
I have been waiting on this fig for 5 years! I don't think it'll ever actually be released. I'm more than just curious if it ever will release.

>BOMBER GIRL Prune Succubus Cheer Costume Ver.
https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-186227
Overpriced for what's there but I do love Bombergirls. Especially Prune, Pine and Grim.

>TV Anime "Puniru wa Kawaii Slime" Cute Gyaru Puniru 1/7 Complete Figure
https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-191831
Now where's the Gelee fig?

>A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof Satoko Kusagakure Huge-Breasted Ver. 1/4 Complete Figure
https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-192197
It's so absurd I felt I had to get it. Saying that I do like comically huge tits.

>POP UP PARADE SP Saber Marionette J Lime Complete Figure
https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-184326
Pop Up Parades are nice. Cheap for some decent quality. Especially good for a rare character like this.

>ToHeart2 Tamaki Kosaka 20th Anniversary Ver. 1/7 Complete Figure
https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-182252
When it comes to ToHeart2 girls, Tamaki isn't even on my top 3 list. However I love Amazuyu's style and Tamaki is cute. Would rather get Karin but she'll never get a fig.

>BOMBER GIRL Pine Succubus Cheer Costume Ver. 1/7 Complete Figure
https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-185468
This will complete the Bombergirl succubus cheerleader set.

>Zenless Zone Zero Nicole Demara 1/7 Complete Figure
https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-175711
While there are other ZZZ girls I would rather get. Nicole is still every sexy so having a fig of her isn't bad. Give me my Pulchura fig.

>there's nothing in there saying you have a "right" to commit theft
>They're a private business and can choose what goes into their store
Wrong.
>a Jewish guy who owns the biggest gun store in town
He's hogging all the guns and ammo that belong on Walmart's sporting goods shelves as the constitution mandates, and probably charging twice as much as Walmart would.
>judeo-christian values don't exist.
That's a silly statement.
>It's not a reliable source
The bible is not a reliable source, many claims made in it have been proven false.

I want to preorder the Hoihoi legacy model kits but keep talking myself out of it for practical reasons. I'll probably cave in a few days.

I've been fighting off buying a bunch of Nikke figs. I just don't have the room. However if they make a large Privaty or Noir fig I'm most likely buying.

I'm surprised at how good the 2020s entry grade kits hold up. The old 2011 ones I saw online looked like ass, so I avoided them out of principle, but this thing has surprisingly decent articulation for something so basic and looks reasonably good even without any painting or clearcoating.
Speaking of which: assuming there's some anons with gunpla experience here (/mecha/ looks like it's locked, sadly), how many of you lads paint your gunpla? This thing is the first model I've built since I was a kid, and the only other gunpla I have on hand is a late 90s 1/144 Turn A SUMO kit that'll need a lot of painting and preshading to look remotely decent.

Barely have any experience with gunpla. All I got was a Gundam MkII, Hi-nu, and Shinanju. Never painted any of them. Also that is a good looking Nu-Gundam.

Amiami and Hobby Link Japan for figs. Native for adult figs though I've only ordered one from there. Melonbooks, Toranoana and Alicebooks for doujinshi. I use Japanrabbit as a forwarding service. Haven't bought a daki in a few years but I would use Cuddlyoctopus to get mine.

I guess I will buy some figurines from them, since they do have the stuff I want.

Thanks. I can definitely see why topcoating is often preferred for these things, as the stickers are already picking up a bit more dust along the edges than I'd like, so I'm tempted to give this fucker a coat after I do a bit of panel lining.
>Mk II
Noice. Titan or AEUG colouring?

I was using Myfigurinecollection to follow fig releases but there's no point using their site now that they censor what figs are on the site. What's the point of using a site to see what figs are out when they could just be removed because it's loli or R18?

>>113969
Because of tariffs, a lot of figs just released had their mandatory payments pushed back to Jan 31st 2026. I fear the end of that month. 4 figs will release at once and rape my wallet.

>>113972
Titans colors. Always liked them more for the Mk II.

I messed around with the head a little last night, and gunpla guide linked on /mecha/ wasn't kidding: pencil graphite looks surprisingly good for panel lining. The effect is a lot more subtle than most grey-inked panel lining I've seen online, which often risks looking merely drawn-on instead of accentuating the model's shading and sense of depth. The worst I can say about it is that the graphite has a telltale metallic sheen if viewed from the wrong angle, but supposedly a flat topcoat resolves that.

Makes sense, even if the AEUG colouration is also acceptable.
