Just watched GUNDAM: Requiem for Vengeance so you don't have to. TL:DR, it was ass and boring modern Cali slop that you would expect just from looking at the cover. I'll just greentext as it's not worth a proper review.
>Takes place during the 1 year war. It's from the view of Zeon forces on Earth and starts with Zeon getting their convoy ambushed by Feddies.
>Zaku II are deployed to save them. Here comes MC who's a female mobile suit captain with the mental illness California haircut. Wait why the hell is there a female mobile suit pilot, and one that's a captain during the 1 year war? Female pilots and soldiers were barely even a thing in general during the One Year War.
>The whole cast is DIVERSITY. 2 black guys, 1 Asian guy, 2 white women with butch lesbian looks who act either stoic or spout out witty Marvel humor lines that aren't funny. Don't worry, there's 1 white guy and he's an incompetent idiot who will be shit on to prop up the FemC.
>Right before the Gundam arrives to kill everyone the Zeon forces have a speech. Not a single SIEG ZEON for that speech, or even the whole movie. Probably because "Muh Nazis" and we can't have that happen to the good guys.
>Gundam (this is not the RX-78-2, but a new unique Gundam) shows up and starts wiping the floor with everyone. Both white guys dead immediately, who looked like fags anyway. It'll all the diversity crew from here on out.
>Through the movie, multiple times you have it where the Gundam is about to shoot someone and just gets interrupted at the last second to the point you just assume no one will ever get killed.
>For some reason this is full of Gouf Customs. The Gundam somehow wins a 2v1 against these and they never use their heat rods once. Probably because that would have just killed the Gundam with ease as they stunlock it to death with electrical currents.
>The horrible pink haired girl with the nose ring and tattoos who just makes quirky Marvel writing jokes all the way through almost gets her own people killed by trying to brute force through a checkpoint, covered by tanks, with just a few vehicles without weapons. This is never brought up and treated as nothing.
>Gundam pilot is possibly FemC's kid for some reason. Wait, why would a kid be a Gundam pilot anyway? This isn't Amuro, so there's no reason they would make him pilot a Gundam. They would just give it to an ace pilot instead.
God there's so much shit to mention but I don't care enough to write down everything. It would probably takes way more paragraphs. It's just shit with nothing memorable about it. They tried to put some JP faces behind the production team to mask the cancerous Netflix Commiefornia writers who are actually behind it. Not even Transformers was this shit.
