God, you need to kys, asap.
It predates the kindergarten heroes, started as an OVA that basically put Trigger on a map, showing what they can do with animation. Then that got a sequel, and a TV series. The first 2 OVAs are a must watch, then the TV series... has problems, but when it sticks to telling self contained episodic stories its as good as the OVAs.

It's a visual treat, just like the OVAs, it really looks like the artists there enjoyed what they were doing.

Ah, forgot about that. Well, its in the title. Akko is our retarded protagonist and wants to be like her idol witch Shining Chariot. But due to spoilers she's totally inept and can barely do any magic. Its mostly comedy and adventure. The OVAs exist to show amazing animation and tell simple stories, the standalone episodes of the TV series exist to also have amazing animation, but they also flesh out the characters. E.g. Lotte is a not-Twilight fangirl yumejoshi.

Yeah Matoi Ryuko I mean, Amanda is pretty neat, but she just doesn't get enough time (at least in the TV series). The broom race episode was perfect for her, and it almost delivered, but ultimately the spotlight was stolen by our loveable retard. The frog broom and taming the shooting star were "absolvte kino" as the kids say.

Well, the Little Witch Academia game really makes you feel like an idiot.
Also Akko has 2 base int in this game, fucking lmao.
Anyway, the game is kinda painful at first, but I'll give it some time, maybe it'll get... okay later on. I just want a basic game with those bitcheswitches I'm not expecting much here.

Just watched up to ep11, and I think I had the wrong idea about this series. There's much more good in it than I remembered (which is barely anything since I last saw it when it aired in 2017). I wonder if it drops THAT hard in the later half, or it was just me and other people that judged it too harshly? Even the Andrew episode (10) was passable this time. And the lore/mysteries with the triskelion, and why witches need the magic stone is actually interesting.
The mysteries of the school and its past made me realise just how much it apes from Harry Potter. Sure, the series exists for entirely different reasons and appeals to different people, but the idea with an ancient magic school with mysteries and past that affect today as well is... well, exactly like HP. Though let me stress that its only the broad strokes that are the same, all the meaningful details are different and make the series go in different directions...
Wait, the trio of misfits is also in HP... Damn.
If you want to be an asshole and claim some bs like "its just a ripoff" you surely can, but objectively speaking these series are definitely different enough. The similarities are more present in the TV series than in the OVAs or manga though.
For what it's worth I have zero desire to re-read or rewatch HP despite being a fan in the past, but I want to with LWA.
