>And they often don't represent the average American...by which I meant those from the Euro stock that came there
And that claim is complete bullshit.
Especially when the people who became "Americans" were whites rejected by Europeans for being "non-white".
The colonist didn't come to America to be a "European country". They came to America for the expressed purpose of being everything that IS NOT a European country and to get away from everything related to European countries. State-enforced religions, societies divided by classes, constant race and religious wars, bullshit philosophies and intellectualism up the ass, etc. America is the anti-thesis of everything Europoors have been trying to do for the past 300 years. In fact, even during the earliest immigration acts that people like to reference as "proof" that America was a "white only" nation, they distinctly leave out the numerous debates and reforms done for the expressed purpose of increasingly restricting European immigration. Because the Founders and their followers didn't want any of the pseudo-intellectual bullshit the English, French, and Germans were cooking up to slowly seep it's way into America's development. Especially after seeing the Godawful mess that was the French Revolution. All the people going on endlessly about "Muh Euro roots" are just endlessly repeating a fantasy of a society that never existed. About a continent that considered every other people outside of their border as "non-white". From the Irish in the West, to the Poles in the East, to the Sicilians in the South, to the Slavs in the North.
