I've never been that big on anime either. I watched some more Miyazaki movies a few years ago and ended up finding movies I enjoyed, but overall it's more like something cheesy I can enjoy sometimes. Watching a movie like Vampire Hunter D is like watching '80s wrestling promos or a '70s Godzilla movie to me. I don't really bother with TV shows because it's too much a time sink.

Personally few of your songs feel calm to me. The vocals being significantly louder than the music always takes me out of it.
Some do appear to be relatively slow or drenched in noticeable reverb though. You might like the later albums of Pinkshinyultrablast (https://youtube.com/watch?v=iiuwBp85Vuk https://youtube.com/watch?v=Raom9jmGsIE) and Cocteau Twins (https://youtube.com/watch?v=ZpqaNjtaU6o) if you don't know them already. Here is some more music your list vaguely reminded me of:

Dark ambient as a genre is very /late/ in my opinion. At least the kind of ambient they post on Cryo Chamber label, it's good for reading.
This is by far my favorite - https://cryochamber.bandcamp.com/album/aokigahara

I like Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, and Hasil Adkins as far as rock and roll goes. I'm into even older recordings than that though.

Not usually an OST guy but Multiple Personalities of the Killer 7 soundtrack is peak /late/ for me. https://youtu.be/kMX2vBVkNv8?si=kcdGsloQDsJJLXvz

It gives me trip hop vibes which itself is an especially /late/ genre.
I really enjoy listening to dreamy-ish post punk late at night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNk99-9sBYQ

Although... I change my mind since I don't know if the radio will actually come back and stay online. Downloading each song, converting them to the proper format, then uploading them to the station takes a fair amount of time. I've spent a good amount of hours uploading a huge chunk of the current /late/station's music in the first few months of it running. I'm happy to do it for /late/, but not if all that is for nothing. I'll work on uploading more music (including the OG music) again when/if the radio-anon brings it back.

Ohh, I didn't realize. Why don't you look into taking it over from the other radio anon? Maybe he has some issues going on r/n that makes it difficult. Certainly everyone here enjoys having lateradio, and he did a good thing by fulfilling that need.

Maybe you can too, Anon?

>Why don't you look into taking it over from the other radio anon?
This thought has come across me more than once. /late/station is one of my favorite things on the internet, I listened to it all the time. I know radio-anon is extremely busy and its made it hard for them to manage /late/station. Currently I'm in a similar boat. I can't reasonably take over or make a new one, at least not yet. When I get my work for the next few months out of the way and if the radio is still not up and running, I might just put together a new radio for late. I'd get in as many of the OG songs in as I could, use the old wallpapers, and include a counter for how many people were listening in.
these always remind me of /late/, i suppose for obvious reasons
