Have you ever had a paranormal/extraterrestrial encounter?
As a child, I used to spend my summers at the house of a family friend’s elderly grandmother with my cousin. She had a yard that stretched on seemingly forever, which we would wander through for hours, catching fireflies, tossing leeches at each other in the creek, chasing crawdads, and driving “the jeep” through a muddy trail someone had carved through the woods. However, we were always warned to stay away from the old barn that sat in the corner of her field on the edge of the woods. Despite being an elderly German woman in Appalachia, Oma firmly believed that there was a chupacabra that lived in the rafters. Neither us kids or our parents were allowed near the barn, which seemingly had not been touched in decades.
One night when catching fireflies, my cousin and I were sent to the barn on a dare. I will never forget the terror I felt when I pointed my flashlight upward and saw a hunched, hairless grey figure with sunken eyes sitting on the loft amidst a sea of garden hoses and wire coils. I don’t believe it was a chupacabra, there was something distinctly alien about it. I had waking nightmares for years after, always convinced I’d turn around to see it running after me. Though it never did chase me that night I saw it. Oma passed soon after so I never went back to her house again, and my cousin moved to Oregon around the same time. I’ve not talked to him in years. I’ve heard his dad recently committed suicide after his family found out he was downloading sketchy shit and talking to kids online. Maybe one day I’ll get back in contact with my cousin and ask if he remembers that night, he was much younger than I was. To this day it is the most haunting thing I have ever seen
Not anything conclusively paranormal.

I remember a feeling of terror coming over me while laying in bed one night and refusing to open my eyes because I had the feeling that something was walking around my room, which I didn't want to see. I might have also been in a state of sleep paralysis, which I had maybe two or three instances of around that time. I was trying to learn to trigger an out-of-body experience around that time. I don't know if I was hallucinating or what.

There's a weird memory I have of being a really little kid and watching my brother play a computer game and seeing a flat, CD-like disc fly into my field of view and pause there for a brief moment. There were buildings and figures from the game going about their business on its surface. After a short time, it flew out of view and left a trail of blue pixels in its wake. I think it was some kind of hallucination, but it's one I've carried all my life and wondered about.

There was another incident in my early years I remember. My older brother was asking me if I wanted to watch The Wizard of Oz, which was a movie I hadn't seen and didn't know anything about. I instantly pictured a hot air balloon in flight. I had no idea one that there would be a hot air balloon appearing at the end of the movie. I think the most convincing explanation is that the "o" sound in "Oz" and "hot" triggered some kind of mental connection in me. I was already familiar with what hot air balloons were.

More recently I've had a few instances of taking naps, dreaming about certain people, and then waking up to find them visiting. I'm not a sound sleeper, so it's possible I heard them rooms away.

Even though I'm not sure I've ever experienced anything paranormal, it's a subject I'm strongly interested in.

> I had the feeling that something was walking around my room

I’ve felt that many times.
I have quite a history with sleep paralysis, but I have experienced a presence in my room as a completely distinct phenomenon from sleep paralysis. The most recent of which and most remarkable was when I had a dream that a spirit who had been residing in a doll I brought home emerged to speak to me.
After waking, I felt a presence in my bedroom and I had a very strong feeling that it wanted me asleep and that I should not look towards it or move from my bed.
