I once made a very rules-light RPG designed for minifigs. It uses the six-sided die from the Lego board games as the randomizer. Each PC has their own die that they fill in the sides with class-specific or generic skill/power sets, like "bonus to attacking" or "bonus to using technology" or "magic". This acts as a boost to your action (i.e. you can always attack somebody, but if you roll a red side while you attempt an attack, it's more likely to go in your favor, so a fighter character would want a lot of red sides on his die).
