rule 1 is overkill in current times
rule 4 discards using rule 1 as a shitposting loophole but i doubt the community cares if its funny and has effort behind it
besides one blackwashed stud is shitposting right now using something official
never thought i see shitposting over b*onic* again in my life
rule 5 is overkill with spoilers but i think it can stay the way it is
heres a verbose proposal
Rules of /lego/
1 : Do not promote raids or doxxing
1a : Doxxing brand objects and homebrew objects is allowed, not persons
2 : Do not spam
2a : Dumping of relevant images, and relevant attachments is allowed, in their on-topic threads
2b : Same type of thread repeated without reaching a bump limit will be considered spamming, regardless of the interval, posts may get merged to the primary thread
3 : Do not sign your posts with a name, avatar, signature, or any variations thereof
3a : Using a cap-code without good reason means lost of volunteer position, and possible ban

How does everyone feel about these sets?
What's your favorite architecture set?

I like the idea of them, but there aren't any that I particularly like.

most Architecture sets feel soulless. I prefer buy sets with more pieces and nice features or color that a simple house or wall

I's say the best one is the one I posted in the OP, the Farnsworth House. It's scale is good enough that it includes a lot of interior detail. It's just about exactly half scale for normal Lego builds to accept minifigs. I'v actually thought about making my own "full scale" version but I'm not certain how to go about starting that. The model is roughly accurate to the colors of the real Farnsworth House so I'd need a lot of white and beige bricks and some clear window bricks as well.
>>826
Same, I like the idea of these "scale model" sets and think they'd be fine if they coexisted with traditional play-oriented sets. The issue is nearly every fucking set is either an action figure or one of these "scale models" that you can maybe play with once and shove onto a shelf because it's not designed to be rebuilt, like that stupid fucking Mario theme. At least with Architecture you can still buy a pile of the white Architecture element set and do stuff on your own.

Anyone got the Architecture Studio set? Can it even still be bought for a reasonable price?

I've come across enough of these sort of fancy sets that I think they deserve their own thread.

Its been thick with fog so I can barely see the opposite side of the street and raining for 3 days straight. Feeling very comfy just sorting my pieces and listening to the pattering of the rain on my roof.

I was going to post that the newest Minifig set has a classic Space figure with a space babby and then I realized that /lego/ doesn't even have a proper Minifigure thread!

Make it stop. And another thing does anyone else dislike this double face thing they've started doing with minifigs? It limits what kind of hair/hat you can use without having an abomination.

Do you ever picture a specific place when you think of LEGO? Something idealized or nostalgic that makes building more exciting for you, personally.
Whenever I think of old System sets from 2006 and earlier, I always come back to the mental image of a small, cozy living room during the winter. Incandescent lights, carpeted floor, wooden furniture - just the kind of place I was at when I was young and first got into LEGO. It might sound weird, maybe pretentions, but I find that the ambience around you can be an important factor when you're delving into your imagination.

For me with these tiny creator 3in1 sets, it's airplane table and waiting rooms at doctors offices.

For me it's a few things. This sort of storage box for one. It's made of thick blow molded plastic so it hard but cushy at the same time. I toted this thing around all the time as a kid. I've still got mine somewhere. I need to retrieve it.
Another thing is these base plates for the pirates sets. The Pirates were my favorite themed sets as a kid, even more than Space which I loved. I always had a thing for tropical stuff. I always wanted to collect a bunch of them and make a big Lego sea with islands and beaches. Maybe I still will at some point.
