Just in case anyone doesn't know what the response was, Nekopara After released on Steam after all. I suspect they relented after the Blue Archive delay threatened to put major scrutiny on them.

I consider 2022 to be an "outlier" year. The only notable cases that year were Duel Princess and Gamuzumi saying Hot Tentacle Shoot couldn't have full nudity. But on the other hand, Seven Pirates H released without hindrance, and the following year saw the uncensored Mugen Souls releases. I consider later 2023 with the ban on The Fox Awaits Me HANA's western release to be the real turning point.

If they were going to do single cart compilation releases, they would have done so with the Re;Births here. They were already sold as a trilogy compilation in Japan. I think the 4/v/ Famitsufags to be mostly delusional, but here I'll give them credit in that I do think there's some nickel-and-diming going on here. EAS is selling them separately so they can sell the LEs, and the price of each is $40 SE, $60 LE. The individual games on Steam are literally $15 regular price, and they frequently go on sale as well. You could literally buy all three on PC for the price of ONE Switch version. Yes, I know there's costs involved in manufacturing the carts, but does that really justify this much of a price hike?
