>What is the problem, in your opinion ?
No problem.
>Why is that a problem ?
No problem isn't a problem, silly me.
>Why is moving away for some time a solution, in your opinion ? And if it isn't the case, why ?
Because it can disperse some shitposters. Not every of them, though, as the most tenacious ones will follow here, making the whole move moot.
>Which other options could have been done ? And why did the move seemed to be the superior option to you, if it's the case ?
I proposed several times to self-moderate ourselves like we have done during the past with shitposters, which seems to be a more moderate option, and, more importantly, one that we know it works. You can guess from there than the move isn't the best option to me.

You don't need to apologize. People truly wanting a move would have taken another reason to pushing it again and again until we bowed to them. And while I don't have any interest in scat (I honestly think it's a little disgusting, but to each their own), I don't think hindering others' choice of discussion is a better thing.
