So the old BO went to Gamindustri or something, I dropped an e-mail when it happened and I got a reply.

So this I guess is sort of a meta thread. Basically drop a line here for thoughts or suggestions, new graphics, etc.. Also question answering.

I'll get the boilerplate one out of the way first: I've been here a little while and have already put some time in here. Other two pics very much related.

Congrats BO, are you the translatorfriend that posts the updates in the thread per chance?

I made this real quick, feel free to use it or not.

Congratulations. I'm glad this BO request came to another nep lover keeping the place safe.

As for the questions, the usual.
>Which nep is your favorite ?
>Which nep is the best ?
>Which nep is the worst ?
>Do you plan any changes in the threads (bump limit, things like that) outside of what you've already shown ?
>Any plans related to the community ? Anything you'd want us to try ?
>Any comments about your nomination as BO ?

Yeah I'm the update guy (among other things I've done here). With Nep VII surprisingly close to release on PC that should pick up again but I've had a lot of IRL crap going on that's precluded sitting on top of RB3RT the last two months. That should be changing soon as I won't be at the very least driving around six hours a day anymore rather soon I suspect as those issues seem to be settling down.

Also I'll upload the new spoiler PNG but I still have to get new graphics for the other two system images before it can be used.

>Favorite Nep

I actually don't have one, I generally like or find all of them fascinating. Although I tend to have a soft spot for some of the more judgmental ones.

>Best Nep

I'm going to limit it to the quantifiable work performance and management styles of the CPUs, due to my lack of preferences mentioned above.

And in that case I prefer Vert's work ethic, as she usually accomplishes the basic level of work needed for her nation to function, while also not taking things too seriously.

Blanc and Noire are runners-up in this regard, but Blanc spends a little more of her time proportionally slashwriting than working, and Noire's tunnel vision is pretty bad so she frequently misses important details and then has a panic attack when a minor issue occurs.

But since I also like the lazy CPUs as well, I wouldn't really say any of those three are my "best".

>worst Nep
Red. About the only one I don't care for much. Don't hate her but there's no reason for me to like her either.

>board minutiae
I've enabled dice rolling; 5-image posts are also enabled as well (so anyone into manga is in a better position now so long as they keep the overall upload size below 8MB). Bans, which I expect will be extremely infrequent, are public (as is the bumplock indicator).

Bump limit is 300, which is fair as it is right now given there's only like 4 threads on here that have that level of traffic at the moment (although if we get a series of high-traffic threads to pushing that out more). I might enable Oekaki as well but I've never seen anyone actually use it on this site.

>plans
Actually my plan was to keep things at least as they have been over the last year, we've done pretty good for ourselves! I hadn't put much more thought into it…

Well, I guess if we could, it'd be nice if we could increase the user base a little more on her directly since that'd open up more content and community opportunities for us. For example a few weeks ago there was a thread for /icup/ but this place is sparsely visited and posted in so that proved to be impossible.

But you need to have a reason to come here so hopefully this place can develop into a hub for Nep content, especially as a place where its generated rather than a place where it's largely stored. In particular, translations and retranslations of Neptunia material, like the Hello New World translation going on now or Vice Virtuoso's two translations from a while back could be a focus. And of course the retranslation projects. The more content generated, the more traffic we should receive in theory.

Anyway I'm pretty lax so if you want to try anything, knock yourself out. We have an anon doing an adventure for example, and that's gotten a fair amount of traffic so far (hopefully he'll keep at it).

In general whatever means to increase the base while also keeping the feel of the board the same or similar, I would be quite happy to see that happen.

>BO event comments
I didn't actually have any plans to manage anything on this site, but the 8chan Neptunia community is one of the best on the net, if not the best full stop. There are LOTS of really bad Neptunia enclaves but this one doesn't have a lot of pointless drama (most drama seems to be from external sources), produces an extreme amount of OC for its size and is generally fairly comfy. Granted the /v/ thread's where all the action is usually but there's a ton of stuff stored and posted here that you simply won't find anywhere else, and it'd be a shame if that got lost.

>increase the user base
It has been rather high on the moment /v/ threads have been stopped, but outside of that, it's sparse even during the releases. I expect a little spike because of your new role and the discussion here, though.

If you want reasons to do so, there are opportunities to grab. We have translators and writers, and giving them reasons to bring content here might bump the board usage. But you can't just come and say "Hey, we have a place here, come and use it !"

>the 8chan community is one of the best on the net, if not the best full stop
Definitely. That's a community that could be torn apart from many reasons (the different characters making so many waifus and the conflicts between waifufags, the conflicts with /nepgen/ users and so on), yet we've managed to stay civil, calm with each other and to support each other around a generally comfy ambiance. Kudos to those who made that possible.

Can't banners be prepared for the moment it'll be reactivated ? I'd love for one to reference Blanc's comment about Blancanon, or one or two referencing the stories people wrote here and on the pastebin

I don't think we can see the allowed dimensions of the banners when editing is disabled. It would probably be good to know first for people that want to make banners.

The properties of the banner tells me it's a simple 300x100.

I'm all for people posting as many banners as they feel like. Of course I don't know if there's an upper limit you can have going at one time, since I don't have access to that function.

And I don't know when I will get it, either. Just getting the site back on track itself took 11 months and a failed replacement platform. Smaller functions, well, we shall have to see.

As far as bringing content people here, for the translators one attraction might be to post Japanese raws of untranslated material. That might catch someone's attention here.

Also they have to be 500kb or lower; however that's not too hard to achieve with those resolutions.

I've uploaded new board assets for spoilered images, deleted images, and "thread has no picture in the op" images. Once they take, I'll enable them right away.

New system images are online and operational.

Also there's an option for "/pol/-style flags"; essentially these are user flags. We could slap together flags for the 4-6 nations in the series, maybe some other shit if you want. That is if anyone wants to make any. Instructions included.

Well it's been about a week and the banner page still isn't working. Also I really don't have a lot more to say ATM so I'm going to unpin this and let it slide.

Still if you wanna throw in banners or flags here for later, knock yourself out.

One thing I did remember someone asking about on a recent /v/ thread is a big pastebin for Neptunia print scans. I think we could do one better (or at least sideways) and sticky something to that effect on here. Slide-proof and all, unless someone has something else in mind?
Replies: >>3163
>>3149
I think that having a big pastebin for everything Nep-themed could be helpful. Grabbing all the links for the retranslations, the scanlations, the stories, and even some side material like the bonus CDs (as webms) and some pictures could be good to keep.

We will need /v/'s nepthreads' help for that, though. Perhaps once the next thread is launched ?
Replies: >>3164
>>3163
The /v/ threads will certainly have the most eyeballs, that's for sure. I already have a few threads back from before I was BO with some links but perhaps we could consolidate them all into one thread, and also get some new material in the process.

It's been awhile, but if this post goes through then the data you can upload per post has been upped to 10.2MB (which has recently occurred site-wide).

EDIT: New internet situation so new ID.

And now it's even 12MB.
There's been a possible node failure with the site, posting here via mod console to see if that rezzes the board.

EDIT
And it did. Of course until /sudo/ adjusts the situation positively site-wide, I'll have to make posts in any thread that needs to be accessed probably via the console. So just list what threads you want to use here if this keeps up.
