So GW has finally started opening up to other companies making merchandise, what do you think? So far we've gotten:
-Bandai Primaris Ultramarine
-Chibi Series
-Funko Pops
-Upcoming McFarlane Primaris Ultramarine and blank Primaris Marine body

I like the third design (black helmet) the best, looks really cool, wish it will get a toy. If McFarlane will get to it, they will have to use real fabric, otherwise the articulation would be extremely restricted. I didn't follow McFarlane toys closely until their Fortnite line, so I'm not sure and do wonder how much of experience they have with use of real fabrics.

The second design looks pretty cool to, but I like it less. The first design has ugly helmet imho, very Bionicle-like and I don't like the brown off-white with that shiny bright green,

Look what arrived 2 weeks ago!

-The arms, heads, helmets, and accessories are fully compatible with genuine LEGO
-LEGO legs can be put into Koruit torsos but not the other way round
-LEGO and Koruit hands are not compatible at all as the pins are completely different sizes

The quality of these is quite good, especially considering many LEGO purists insist Chinese bootlego is horrific quality. The legs are slightly loose on all the figures and this is the only real quality issue. There is slight blurring in the printing of some of the figures but ironically the quality of the printing is still far better than LEGO at the moment.

Also the Chinamen thankfully undervalued my parcel and shipped it as a "product sample", which was pretty nice.

>Panda Mony cheaping out and him being an empty shell with cheap plastic
Panda Mony is a new toy company and Alter Nation is their very first toyline, if they wanted to cheap out, they could've done it from the start and avoid the risks they have been taking for so long. They aren't big old corporations like Mattel and Hasbro run by CEOs who only care about profit and I don't see them becoming that way any time soon.

>hard to pose figure
More likely, articulation was never one of Alter Nation' strengths. From what I've read the straps on the arms going to be movable separate piece,

From what I assume and vaguely remember, he supposed to have light up feature with the ability to shoot the ball which would probably include some spring loaded gimmick as well. I don't see any signs for speakers, so I'm not sure if he will have sound gimmick too.

New 2021 catalog have been released!
https://www.playmobil.de/content/katalogviewer/KatalogViewer.html#1
https://www.playmobil.us/content/katalogviewer/KatalogViewer.html#1

Take the Playmopill anon!
>comfy to collect - no need to worry about getting it immediately or fear from scalpers, easily available by being sold both at regular toy shops and online. Even if you do miss some sets, most parts would likely to be reused in future sets
>pure playline - great variety of playsets and vehicles which is rare sight nowadays, adult collector pandering is kept to minimum and doesn't hinder the play value
>insanely high play value - figures, accessories, playsets and vehicles, this line has it all. Each set you add increase the play value
>isn't made in chinkland - meaning high quality, workers are being paid well and work in decent conditions, most importantly the origin land of corona isn't getting any money

Which Playmobil sets you bought in 2020? Which sets are you planning to get this year?

Anyone here have/buy Mega stuff? If you ask me Mega is a lot better now that they dropped the whole knockoff Lego approach and instead focussed on doing their own thing. Don't get me wrong, Dragons was an incredible toyline (with some exceptional lore) but it was limited by the ugly sub par figures. Pyrates was a much better approach with the mini articulated figures (and the still deep lore) that really distinguished Mega as something different from Lego. The washes on the figures were quite heavy but this actually worked with making the pirates and skeletons looking dirty and grim.

>Anyone here have/buy Mega stuff?
I have like three items; Mag Warriors Hawkblade, Halo Covenant Ghost set and Call of Duty Icarus Troopers set (first release with 5 figures).
>Mega is a lot better now that they dropped the whole knockoff Lego approach
Actually, they fully embraced it; in the past they made non-brick related toys which were far better imo Mag Warriors and Dragons eggs were the best.
>Dragons was an incredible toyline
I remember how I wanted one of the eggs and kept checking it and seeing it in stores, but they were quite expensive and I got other toys instead. It was such a cool and basic concept; getting big dragon figure in an egg, you just couldn't go wrong with it.
I see they tried to bringing it back with the Breakout Beasts line, but they're small cheap blind bag crap, nowhere near as impressive as the original Dragons eggs.

>>587
>Fuck their current distribution though
To be fair, this problem isn't limited to them, many toy companies suffer from it, to precise mostly for boy toys. It's quite depressing to have witness the boy toy aisle getting deteriorate as years pass by; all there's Lego, Playmobil, blind bag crap, diecast and RC cars, Playmates' Ben 10 and flopped TMNT rise. It's not like the girl toy aisle is great either, but at least there's more variety and greater quality MGA made fashion dolls great again! .
>Slime should've been in a separate packet for those that wanted to use it
But the blind bag crap gimmick, anon! How can you sell toys to children without relying on cheap gimmick instead of making high quality toys that can sell them on their own?!

Looks very articulated for its size
Anyone knows of other toy lines/model kits of animals with good articulation?

>Anyone knows of other toy lines/model kits of animals with good articulation?
I know Revoltech started making insects (subline called Revogeo/Revoltech Geo) and they have a horse (there's also figma horse), also there's Soft Vinyl Toy Box/Sofubi Toy Box toyline by the same company Kaiyodo that has quite few animals which are fairly well articulated for vinyl figures. There's German Shepard type dog by Marauder Gun Runners. Last, I've seen some BJD (ball jointed doll/s-usually made of resin and held by an elastic string instead of modern functioning joints) animals such as panther, dog, cat, etc. They're quite expensive and if you don't give a shit as you should about the dead horse that is the never-ending recast vs. legit debate then you can find it cheaper on aliexpress and other recast stores.

I'm not big fan of those desu, it's like Xevoz but even more bland and amorphous though the truth is stikfas are the predecessors of Xevoz . However, I do appreciate their customizability and understand their appeal.

>i am beyond pissed
That's exactly how I feel about the canceled Classic She-Ra doll line by Mattel in general and Classic Catra specifically. I just want at least Catra before useless and extremely retarded Mattel off themeslves. To make it somewhat related to the thread, this line could've also had 12" scale articulated Spirit/Swift Wind with rooted hair, same with Clawdeen (Catra's pet) and Catra' beat form.

>>499
TBH I don't think it's a bad idea at all, my wording wasn't good at all as "fur suits" will always have bad conation unless you're a furry .

I'm aware licensing deals aren't always viable/desirable, but they could've worked around that and still made more realistic, scaled cars. Because it won't go along with the nostalgia pandering, I mean the packaging is the only thing that resemble to the original toys.
