Will there be one? I can probably set one up myself, but I don't have much experience with IRC, so I am not exactly qualified to operate one.
It would be hosted from my home so it would be tor-only to bypass the NAT.

I can make one on Rizon, but I don't have a BNC and won't be able to really moderate it since my attention will be divided between a few happenings that night. If anons want one I can help set it up though and just transfer ownership or mod rights to someone.
we should do it on Element instead, it would be easier and more accessible. not everyone has IRC or knows how to use it

I don't know how element works and probably won't have time to set one up, but anon is welcome to host one if he can create a retard's guide to element chatting and hook anons up.
I'm assuming this is what you are talking about: https://element.io/

YES, that is exactly the one i talk of. making a room for streams is easy. just make an account, and then you can set up a room
Read here how to:
https://element.io/help
and since i already sent a instructions link detailing how to use Element, now its time for someone to make a chat there for the stream. i cannot do it myself because i am not the one doing the stream. be sure to put an announcement that has the room link

Element requires an account, that goes against everything you niggers should stand for. If you're too dumb to figure out how to into IRC, you're probably too dumb to use Element, and you're probably an underage faggot aswell.

might as well use XMPP at this point.

mean, but fair. using element would discriminate against our fellow anonymity autists, plus normalcattle shouldn't be catered for.
>>104
Element doesn't require emails or phone to make an account, both are optional IIRC, plus there is alot of encyption there. also, it used to be called Riot.im, but it rebranded at some point in 2021. the problem about IRC is that, not that there are people too dumb to use it, problem is that some people never heard of it before or don't want to use it, It is their problem.

none of those things are required. Element is just targeting normalfags who are used to whatsapp and signal. Nothing wrong with that if it gets more people using the protocol. Me and many others just want a modern chat protocol so we people can move off proprietary dogshit like discord.

I feel like that would kill some of the potential activity

Still better than no activity.
IRC is dead simple to set up and use, both server and client wise, so unless anyone else interested in Element knows and cares to set up a server, IRC is the best option.

Really nigger? Anyone who knows what Element is probably knows IRC and has used it before. It boggles the mind that there are people on imageboards either too young or not technically inclined enough to know IRC.

If you want to set up an IRC or Element go for it. I'm going to be sending out invitations, communicating with some loose ends, and finishing dialing in my portion of the playlist until about midnight tonight so I'm not going to have the opportunity to make one. If anons join or don't join is up to anon but I will mention any IRC groups in an announcements of events sticky when the event goes live Saturday.

It's not really spam when I've said that alternate imageboards can be invited. >>128 is your ambassador thread I guess, so you can post to your hearts content there, just don't post global-violating content. Did you want to be added to the whitelist?

>>127
Nanochan isn't spam either and the same offer of an ambassador thread and whitelisting is available. Feel free to advertise the event to them, I will add the default onion URL to the graylist in a little bit along with the above.
I'd participate in an IRC or Element. I lean towards IRC but happy with either. Anything that doesn't need an identifying account.
