With all that said, I hope anon will enjoy today. After a quick pre-stream connection test for a half hour, I will be streaming mostly traditional Christmas music (Manheim Steamroller, Bill Crosby, Trans-Siberian Orchestra) with some international (Read: Russian/German/Japanese) twists mixed in. /r/s in all languages are allowed! The other streamers will likely have their own music so I'm not totally sure what they will be doing, but it doesn't have to be Christmas themed all day if they want to play other things. If I'm back on later it might be weeb music for a while and some tavern songs later tonight. I mostly just sent out mass advertisements to what seemed to be the central hubs on each imageboard, but everyone is invited today! Ah right, for those unfamiliar with Radio imageboard subculture, the idea is that we all gather and socialize in a thread together around some music. Banter, blogposting, etc. are welcome so long as anon doesn't get into a screaming match with each other (and even then it's fine unless it gets out of hand). That's why I'm mostly restricting banter to the Radio (polite banter) and Thunderdome (essentially fistfight) threads. I saw some wine aunts/grumpy uncles when I woke up this morning and I don't know the culture of every board so I'll probably issue some warnings around the board here during the technical testing/Old Ones Solstice block. If your board is alright with heavier banter just yell at me for doing it. If your board isn't alright with heavier banter in your exchange threads, file a report and I'll hop on it when possible.

You are cordially invited to watch the Uncommon Time Winter stream with anons from all over the internet. It's that magical time of year where bitter hatred brings us together to laugh at a terrible RPG maker gamer created (and I use that term loosely) by a tumblerite with daddy issues as deep as the grand canyon. Unless I'm mistaken this winter stream marks the 8th year of this traditional imageboard custom, and frankly it gets better every year with new content, and new fanart of Teagan's abs.
The current schedule has yet to be finalized, but it will start on the 18th and end as late as the 24th spending somewhere from 8-12 hours of play time a day because I have no life. It's possible that I may go beyond that time period, but I'll skip Christmas day so everyone can spend time with their families. Watch this thread for any further updates. I hope to see you there.

We don't have much to offer unfortunately, as I made a thread asking us what we should do about less than four days before today, and we were only officially invited to post here with our own thread about yesterday. Regardless, in the spirit of Christmas and the Holy Night, I wanted to start by spreading goodwill and good cheer to everyone by sharing some verses that I hold close to my heart and invite others to do the same, even if they aren't a Christian.
Past sharing scriptures, this is meant to be a comfy thread, so really anything can be discussed as long as it's somewhat relevant to Christianity and follows the rules here (don't forget about Santa's Thunderdome, please do us all a favor and keep this thread clean at the very least!). This thread can also be for prayer requests, support, questions about faith, confessions, you name it!
Now that's all out of the way, here's some verses I'd like to share from my King James Bible and what they mean for me.
Matthew 17:20 - "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
Proverbs 4:23 - "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
Proverbs 20:29 - "The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head."
Psalm 41:3 - "The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness."
These verses mean a lot to me, as someone who struggles with anxiety, self-doubt, and depression. Knowing He loves me, even as I struggle with my temptations give me hope and another reason to look forward to waking up every day. Even if you have very little faith in Him, He will still answer to you because He loves you. I went through some hardships in life that really made me question my faith, but every day I still wake up, living the impossible.

This is christmas radio, a thread where we listen to music while we drink, blogpost, banter and shitpost to our heart's content. That's pretty much it, so don't be afraid to talk about anything that comes to mind, be it your day, your life, games, movies or whatever. The point is to get together to share a good time with all dat Christmas Spirit™ and shit.
That being said, last year we had multiple DJs through the whole thing so we ended up partying all night. That was good and all but time is different, because there's only me (heh) and we have around 7:30 hours of music if the night goes as planned and I don't mess around with the playlist after a few drinks. It all points out to a long, interesting, yet crowling slow night. No refunds!
As for the playlist itself without getting into details: we'll start with instrumental funk and jazz, followed by some ska and weeb music for the first hours until we slowly move towards the west with slav and balkan tunes mixed in, then we'll get into proper western european and burger music. After that, I throw in a mix of everything. Don't like something? call me a faggot and /r/equest something of your own instead, I'll put it somewhere in the playlist as long as it's not SHIT.

We are a really small community and our imageboard is a buggy mess, but things will improve in the near future, we hope. I won't advertise the board here because it is is a portuguese-speaking place, so I don't think it will be interesting for you. But we made some collection music albuns that we would like to display on this event.
In /h/ sometimes we have this so called "discothreads" (album threads if you will). We stablish a genre and ask anons for music recommendations, therefore we select the best musics, ask a drawfag to make a drawing and create a album with it. It's simply a video with a static image and some tracks. The whole video must have a length set between 51 and 70 minutes.
Here I will post some of our albuns for you. You are welcome to make a album too! Just select some musics, join then on a video with a static image as background and post it here.
for those who don't know, /sig/ is Self-Improvement General, a community dedicated to self-improvement. there used to be alot of /sig/ threads on 4chan, many got pruned because /pol/ over there went to shit over the past years. there used to be a imageboard dedicated entirely just to /sig/, called sigchan. unfortunately, sigchan has been shut down, and there was no replacement, until recently. that replacement is the /sig/ board from Hivechan.com, of which i am a representative. Hivechan is not simply just for /sig/ alone, it is a general board where anyone can make a board if they wish to, since the site respects free speech, as long as it is not illegal. the /sig/ board on Hive is a sort of continuation to sigchan, and i say "sort of" because it is tied to sigup.net, which can be considered as the official site of the /sig/ community. the /sig/ board has many anons who used to be on sigchan. this board is the official board of the /sig/ community, a board where people can discuss and advice for self-improvement. because one /sig/ thread is not enough, and this is also another reason why this board exists:

All cope. The fact of the matter is that centralization was a mistake. With federation you can simply laugh it off on a fellow federated board when another dies. Hell, you can even still read the dead instance's posts if they are cached by the other.
In principle, any other IB engine can enter the federation if they comply with the protocol (which isn't that complicated to begin with). Accept that your centralized architecture can't compete with our federated superiority and take the fedipill.
Case is point: in October, the main instance (https://fchan.xyz/) got nuked off the face of this earth while the other instances remained up and running, gathering the lost anons.
Also, federation has already been achieved with tor and lokinet instances, any other darknet is also fair game. Centralized chans literally cannot compete.
