I assume you listen to things that aren't just jazz? If you have the money, I recommend the Koss-ESP-95x from Drop.com as they're a modified version that fixes the old faults. You can also turn it in for free repairs. I haven't heard any open headphones that could make sounds that clear. Compliment it with a DAC for some high quality music that can be played at higher volumes without compromising the quality. If you want over-the-ear closed headphones, I would say give these a try. If you want to listen to more electronic music like Synthwave or EDM, these might be for you. Also note that open headphones are better for more natural sounds.
