>Thanks, I'm going to look up more of his art. I found a few already, seems to me vaporwave artists have taken inspiration from his work.
I've always thought that if there's a heaven it wood look like one of his paintings.
>Anything produced by Hanna Barbera. Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo,The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Pink Panther, Yogi Bear, ect.
Is it the stylization and bold colors?
>The newer cartoons back in the day didn't interest me as a kid. If I wanted to watch something, these were my go-to shows.
I get what you mean. I watched both old and new cartoons at that time but was generally drawn toward older shows. I used to watch eberrything that you mentioned as a kid, although I didn't have Boomerang and watched them on Cartoon Network when I could. I remember really liking Toon Heads after my family got cable TV, but I didn't get to see much of it before it was cancelled.
Looking back, I have no nostalgia for any shows Cartoon Network made past the Powerhouse era. I remember thinking Megas XLR was alright, but that might have been the pilot episode and even then it's not something I look back on with fondness.
Do you remember stuff like Herculoids and the original Space Ghost cartoon? I recall Cartoon Network showing those really early in the morning on Saturdays as part of some Boomerang programming block or something, and I remember getting up early to watch them before Looney Tunes came on.
Boomerang was one of the only channels beyond basic cable that I wanted as a kid.
