Giving them technology is a mistake since they're all just gangsters and immediately sell out any tech to the worst enemies of the Western world without any concern about how it will be abused and invite enemy nations to co-opt the country and corporations for personal profit while lying to everyone that it's for world peace and global cooperation; they're actually just selling Americans and the entire Western world out to enemy nations. 

All the Western universities are the same thing, anything you give them is immediately handed over to China, Israel, Saudi Arabia, etc. for free because they're captured institutions that have been weaponized to steal Western tech.

You're insane, absolutely insane, if you are giving technology to USA universities, companies, or government. They need to be shut down because they're just stealing everything from our country for China. These Federal agent spies for China and Israel put other spies in charge of the companies and institutions to steal all our technology and giving them anything is only hurting Americans further by giving rival countries all our tech advantages.

The buck stops here. I will not give the USA, its corporations, or universities ANYTHING until they assassinate these spies and lock down technological secrets.And if you're giving tech to them, watch your back because I'm coming after you.

Because they open the app in their smartv and watch whatever the algorithm tells them to watch. Most people aren't choosing what they want to watch anymore, it's already too much effort for them.
The same way instagram or tiktok are as popular as they are, you can open the app and scroll for 8 hours without having to search anything.
Those platform make some good shows or films but 90% of what they offer is pure trash to mindless consume.

I could believe people being digitally resurrected to live inside computer simulations, or an entire room full of people being entertained by illusions generated by a guy with a  single cybernetic implanted laser. I don't think Neuromancer is really a sci-fi novel at all. It's a semi-autobiographical drugs novel, like Junkie and The Naked Lunch by Gibson's hero William Burroughs. I think Case is Gibson and Gibson was struggling with drug addiction when he wrote this.

Is there anything wrong with being a cyberpunk poser? Bear in mind the aspects of dystopia we are already subjected to. The main things we are missing from cyberpunk fiction is the cool stuff. Dressing the part just helps set the mood. Using the correct style of tech feels better. If we have to live in this world, the least we can do is our bit to shape it to be more schway. In the absence of some sort of appropriate mega-corporation's products don't submit to crapple's minimalism. Get something chunky with plenty of buttons. Wear a Casio watch, carry a laser. A fucking LASER! Think about how weird that really is compared to say, 60 years ago. If nobody in the street looks like the artwork on the cover of an old cyberpunk novel, be that person yourself. Someone has to do it.

I am a poser, I have no shame in admitting that. I possess knowledge that is nowhere near close to sufficient to be a hacker. What little I do know about using computers in a more secure, even rebellious manner, I routinely ignore because of the effort involved. It is my preference to simply look as if the world is full cyberpunk already. Fake it till you make it, be the change you want to see and so on. So put on some mirrored sunglasses, strap various gadgetry to your body and get out there sometimes. Spread the aesthetic because the corporations have failed to do it for us.

Ideas and suggestions welcome. For example, I'm considering a pair of trainers that light up when you walk. Any other options yo
