Oh no, Neptune has fallen down and can't get up because her Strength is too low to lift her overfed body! Someone should help her!

But it won't be you, because you're currently in Lastation, sitting in a bar, drinking your last credits. You got fired out the Guild today for underwhelming results. Well, that's not really your fault, they did let you in without really checking you first. Like everyone else, they assume you're good at fighting. But you aren't. You'd rather talk and negociate than kill people. That attitude got you many friends, but now that the Guild fired you… Let's just say you'd better not rely on them anymore. You're no longer under anyone's protection.
Rummaging in your backpack, you find a bill of twenty credits, that you use to pay for the beer. Then, you leave the bar with your belonging, feeling like everyone is staring at you. You try to ignore them. You're just worried.

Without a protection, heh.
You raise your eyes and take a good look at Lastation Tower. A divine protector sounds really good, it would keep you out of trouble.
Actually, being protected personally by the CPU of Lastation is probably the safest position you can think of.

You must find a way to get hired.
[] Sneak in the Basilicom.
[] Wai[t] for the night and climb it.
[] Just walk in and ask if they're hiring.

After escaping from the prison, will you end up in one again? Time to find out! The next part of the 'Another quest' is here!

Chapter Three

You wake up to the sound of loud moans. You're still a little bit dizzy, but at least you can open your eyes now and look around. The first thing you notice is Yumi and Taro across the room, doing something. What they are exactly doing, you can't tell, since a piece of furniture blocks most of the view, but based on the sounds they make, it's probably for the best.

It's time to move on to the second thing you notice, namely why you're standing when you just woke up? The answer is simple: you're chained to the wall. You're also naked and gagged. You can't say you're completely surprised given the circumstances, you kind of expected this… you just hoped she'll be a bit more gentle with you. You check out the chains and the cuffs used to secure you to the wall, but they're made from some kind of metal, it's not like you can escape without getting hold of the keys. The latter seems equally unlikely, since you can barely move an inch. In short, you can't do anything other that producing muffled sounds and jerking the chains.

Asked a question about this specific spinoff in the nep threads but I figured why not have a full thread about them

How are the spinoff games in the nep series? Which do you enjoy the most? Which were actually done well?
Were there any that's translations were particularly fucked?
Any you're playing now? How are they?

I'm considering checking out Superdimension Neptune Sega Hard girls but I've heard some mixed things about it.
Producing Perfection sounds like a comfy experience, though I've never played an idol/dating sim game except maybe huniepop kinda

>How are the spinoff games in the nep series?
These are rather mediocre.
>Which do you enjoy the most?
I only played Hyperdevotion Noire and 4GO, so I can't say until I try them all.
>Were there any that's translations were particularly fucked?
Not really, but some things in HN were slightly weird.
<Some scenes were weird
<Secondary characters that only show up for this game
>Any you're playing now?
I plan to continue 4GO after I finish VII.
>How are they?
>4GO
Singleplayer MMO game. Not bad, if you enjoy that kind of games.

>Action U
Decent Senran Kagura clone. I've been grinding up levels in the Neptral Tower and when I get more time I plan to finish the final chapter. Game is sort of boring gameplay wise and I only play it because it's Neptunia related. Translation is okay, I guess? It does have some of the weird translation that in Rebirth 3 (Nep Jr….).

>Hyperdevotion
Don't play this often since it isn't buttery smooth on my integrated graphics. Seems fine, I do like it since it's all about Noire. The chibi versions of the characters are really cute.

I haven't played Sega Hard Girls, and I don't have a Vita to get PP but I might end up getting one just to play it. Vitas are pretty damn cheap now.
Hyperdevotion Noire:
The supposed self-insert character felt unneeded. As for the game, it's alright, a very simple SRPG, tons of characters that will never EVER be referenced again.

Cyberdimension Neptunia:
Pretty fun hack and slash, albeit very repetitive. Enjoyable if you don't mind how repetitive it is. The multiplayer is godawful in its legendarily bad netcode. I never realized netcode could be that bad.

MegaTagmension Blanc:
Same as Cyberdimension Neptunia, although technically this one came first, and has actually better multiplayer, though your mileage will always vary. Tried playing with people and things went alright.

Hyperdimension Neptunia U:
If you really enjoy button mashing and repetitiveness for hours and seeing your Neps' clothes get torn apart, then this game is a champ.

Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls:
The game where IF is actually viable for end game parties.

Producing Perfection: Dunno, don't have a Vita. I think having a non-combat game is interesting though and the music isn't bad either from what I've heard.
Hyperdevotion Noire: The game itself is alright; it's fun but a bit grindy if you want to really win it (to the point where I've sort of dropped it for now, even though I was having some fun). The PC port is garbage however, resolution options don't work and its locked at 30FPS for no reason. Vita version might be a $10-20 value all things being equal on a tech basis, PC is only $5 if that.
Neptunia U: It's a fun pickup action RPG style game but very simple, and short. Not nearly as bad as Noire's game technically but doesn't have enough meat to it to justify picking it up for anything more than $5. Netcode is questionable too.
MegaTagmension Blanc: Basically Nep U on steroids. Runs better than Nep U and has like 5x the content and quite a bit more in the strategy and character selection department, while still overall being a simple game. Decent storyline for what it is. Overall I recommend it, at a $10 level since the netcode while better is still a bit iffy.
Cyberdimension Neptunia: Currently in the middle of this one but this is really a full game even in comparison to Blanc's game, let alone Nep U. The netcode is worse than Blanc's though, but the single player is so strong I suggest a $10-

I guess I'll take you guys' word for it and go through VII and Hyperdevotion vanilla while waiting to see if U gains any traction.

It makes sense why you'd want to keep things consistent, especially important since you're not doing every game. I'm probably in the minority of people who want things to match up just right with the nicknames/honorifics, but there are some cases where it effects other things too (NEPU being translated sometimes is the big one) that I'm sure others would like to see updated.

For future reference, is there any particular way that you guys like to see error reports like this? Or what content you are most interested in (I'm not always sure if the "jokes" that pop up were intentionally left in or not)? I tried to make it easy to find where in the script the problem was, but if there's a better way to do it I'd be happy to use it for any future releases.

Chapter One: >>3738

TL;DR from last thread: you escape school, wanted to become guild agent, lot of shit happening, including Overlord Momus, end up in a prison like thing for sex slaves, escape with a girl and her ex, back at Compa's apartment, now as a (pretty much) official guild agent, time to wrap this mess up. Also, Neptune is MIA.

Chapter Two

After finishing the breakfast, you start to aimlessly wander around in the house, until you meet Histoire.
"Oh, did you finish your breakfast already? The girl and the boy you rescued, they woke up in the meantime and currently they're in the bathroom."
"They're?" you wanted to ask, but realizing it's probably better to not meddle in, you just keep quiet.
"Anyway, we should move to the living room, the others will arrive shortly."

In the living room you find IF and Compa. Apparently IF is still upset, as Compa tries to reassure her. However, as she notices you, she quickly runs toward you, jumping into a hug, almost knocking you over.
"Anon, I'm so glad you're back alive desu! I was afraid I'll never see you again, that you died in an unknown place and…"
Your vision is completely filled with the soft sweater of the nurse. "I'm happy too, just don't squeeze me so hard, you're going to suffocate me!" You try to voice your disagreement, but the sweater completely muffles you. You almost prepare to die in the hands of Compa when she finally releases you.
"Oh, Histy didn't let me bandage you after the last time… But are you sure you're okay? I can check you to make sure…"

>updates are a bit chaotic
Yeah, that's true, I try to do 1 or 2 updates per day depending on how much free time and motivation I have and how much text I have to write and so on. I don't think a more regular update schedule would work, I could only really pull it of if the update interval would be increased to multiple days. But if you ever feel like I didn't give you enough time, say it! The negative consequence of using an anonymous imageboard is that there are no presence indicators, and anons sometime disappear for weeks, so I can't tell if someone is still thinking on his response or they just disappeared.

>suggestions about merging the two answers
I suppose they aren't as incompatible as I originally thought. This is what I usually end up doing, trying to combine the answers until something comes out that makes sense while still being faithful to the original answers as much as possible, hoping that nobody would mind it.

If you're still here. I could already post a reply now (because I'm getting sick of the slow pace things are happening), wait half a day, or a whole day, or I don't know. The other anon just appears, posts a message then disappears for multiple days, and I don't know if I should wait for it or just ignore it and continue.

/senran/ has, I think, developed from a 4/vg/ retort and some 8/v/ threads that were half-chased off the board. The Neptunia threads get a pass because as one of the few renmants of better times they've basically always been there and /nep/ is just a bunker/retranslation board.
