So, after the not so happy end in chapter two, let's restart this game from the beginning.

Chapter 3 (From the beginning)

You're Tom, 29, single, and a full time wageslave. There's not much to talk about your life, today was a usual day for you. You're walking home late at night after a long day of wageslaving. Your coworkers fucked up everything they could then left, so you had to fix all their bullshit---just like always. The weather is also horrible, it's cold and there's a fucking winter storm out here, but at least it means you don't have to deal with the crowd of people. In fact, you're the only person walking down the road, only a few people in cars dare to go anywhere in this weather.
You reach the shop you were heading for, to buy some food for dinner, but the entrance is dark. You walk closer and you notice a small sign: "CLOSED DUE TO WEATHER."
"Shit," you sigh and start walking back home. You hope you can still find something edible in your fridge, because there's no way you will go find a different shop in this weather.
You suddenly hear a low, grumbling sound. You stop and look around, but you don't see anything. What is this? Finally, when you look up, you see a big lump of snow falling toward you! This view shocks you, and before you could react, the avalanche hits you and you pass out.

When you regain your senses, you wake up... in a forest like thing? It's certainly not winter here, it should be about 30 °C (86 °F) here, but it feels much hotter due to the high humidity. You look at yourself, it looks like you're naked, the only piece of clothing you have is a bracelet you don't recognize---it's some wooden balls with various carvings of animals. You're full of wounds and bruises, it's no surprise that every part of your body hurts. You're also thirsty and hungry, but in your current situation you're not sure whether you can stand up at all.

Well, the village is definitely lively. Ask the warrior where Breezug is, and if they wonder why we don't know it, just use the hangover as an excuse.

Oops, sorry, I completely forgot about this

"Hey, you know where Breezug is?"
"Breezug? Probably at his house."
"Which is...?"
"Huh? What's the problem?"
"This hangover, I can't think straight."
"How much did you drink, pal? Anyway, go this way to the center, right at Guardir's tent, then left at the second street."

All good

"Thanks."

Let's head to Breezug's place.

"Thanks," you reply, and head to Breezug's place. You find a house that's bigger than the ones next to them, it must be your target.

"Hello! Is there anyone?", you shout in front of the house, because, well, there is no doorbell. A few seconds later the door opens and a guy emerges from the house. He's probably Breezug, you saw him yesterday, but you drank too much alcohol and you're not completely sure.
"Hello, J'Amal! Finally, come inside!"
You follow him, you walk past the slaves working busily, then you enter a second room. It's much smaller, you suppose it's Breezug's own room, as it only has a small desk and two chairs inside.
"It's good to see you again, J'Amal. We were all worried when you didn't return. What happened? Um... do you really think that it was Alamalus, who sabotaged it? But one thing that's sure, is that we can't interrogate him now..."

"Not the whole thing, no, but enough to make a hunt more difficult than it should be. And beyond that, there are more things than just the hunt that happened in that forest."

You're Tom, 29, single, and a former full time wageslave. One day, while walking home late at night after a long overtime, a snow avalanche hits you, and you end up in another world. It's like some tribe from Africa, where you're a revered warrior, called J'Amal---but of course you have no idea how to fight. In a short amount of time, you travel back and forth, until you end up in a hospital the next day of the accident. You have no memories of these happenings, but weird events keep happening around you, and sometimes it feels like you're being haunted. You also lost your job, and having no real savings, you start job hunting before you run out of money, while trying to understand where those weird dreams are coming from...

Chapter 2

It's white. Everything is white. You take a few steps left, and right, but everything is the same. Uniform white everywhere. "What is this?" you start thinking when you notice a black dot in the distance.
You take a few steps toward the dot, until you realize it's a girl in the distance. You hesitate for a bit, thinking of what should you do, but it's too late! The girl noticed you, and she turns to face you...
"Irziel?" It just slipped out of your mouth. What is or who is Irziel and why did

I dunno, I had an epic wholesome ending in mind (I mean, epic and wholesome in my mind, if I tried to execute it, it would have surely sucked), but the road to that point is... well, I'm not sure me or anyone browsing this site wants to go there. But it should be still doable, we would just have to undo the last few dozen posts. A full reset/new loop is also possible, but wouldn't that boring in the beginning? (Unless, of course, the story diverges very quickly)
Replies: >>1216
>>1215
It really depends though, I feel like it's just us two at the moment.

Regarding the divergence, it'll be somewhat samey for the first few, but if it would be like that, it might be best to summarize that part, and start to where it can quickly diverge.

Possibly make note that this is strangely familiar. If you've ever played Virtue's Last Reward, it's sort of the same idea I'm getting at, that the story can only really proceed after you gain information from other sources.

Nooooooooo, I don't want that.
But you should really have figured out how to use your abilities to help on your second run, if we're going VLE/ZTD

I'm telling you now I have very poor reading comprehension

Or maybe I have figured it out but I'm just extremely uncertain which is why I never said anything, bet on the former more than the latter

<replaying the same scene for the 98th time with minimal or no changes to get all the endings

I have played Re;Birth1 through 7 full clears and Re;Birth2 for 13 clears, I'm sure I'll be okay with repeat dialogue. Not sure if anyone else is though

Your name is Janden Rootwell. Those close to you tend to call you Jan. You never knew your blood relatives, but you were raised by a humble woodworker, whom you get your last name from. Your adoptive father, Kennick Rootwell, seems to know little about your blood family, other than stating that your birth mother was an outsider to your hometown and left after leaving you with him. He says that he was simply in the right place at the right time, and the two had no real connection. You've pestered him throughout your youth about the past but the story is still the same.
You grew up learning the woodworking trade, but it quickly became less dazzling under the threat of monster attacks. Strange hybrid and undead creatures began to wander about the nearby wilderness, so you joined a local posse of exterminators. You have found that you have a talent for hunting these creatures thanks to your athleticism and the stamina gained from long hours in Father's shop.

You have one hidden talent, and that is to innately detect and feel magic. The creatures reek of a dark and festering power. Your flesh has begun to ache, urging you to end more and more of them. You can smell, or even taste magical energy. A wandering wizard was piqued by your constant awareness of him, and after some time you told him about your gift. After some tests, he confirmed that you do not have the ability to cast spells, and that your magical sensitivity puzzles him. Nevertheless, he eventually left town, disap

You arrive at the gates of Nethram by the time it is deep into the night, but you somehow managed to avoid any chance encounters with any monsters or wild beasts, how fortunate.
You can spot two guards at the gate, being lightly illuminated by a few torches. They shout in your direction, hearing the clopping sound of your horse's feet. "By the order of Lord Nethram, halt! Who goes there?!"

I believe in being the change one wishes to see, so fuck it. If we don't have enough characters to fill a football team, we'll make some. You'll just have to make do with the shitty "art".

Welcome to the world of 50 Quest! In this quest you'll be going on the adventure of a lifetime! Quite literally, because after 50 choices you'll fucking die. There are no backdoors, miracles, or deals to get around it. 50 choices, and then it's over for you. Better make sure to keep easy fixes around for whatever trouble you'll create.

Since this is the opener and you probably don't want to waste too many choices on speccing, as a freebie you get to decide all that in one go! What is your:
-name
-sex
-race
-age
-general appearance (don't go overboard, my drawing skills are clearly nonexistent)

I won't put in special conditions like "first poster with a 3 in their post" or "next doubles" since I doubt the userbase currently reaches double digits. Choices will be decided on a first come, first serve basis. Don't expect any rhythm for deliveries either. Could be in a few hours, could be days. If you wanna make sure you get the next choice, you'd better check in regularly.

You peer through a telescope that's conveniently placed right in the middle of the bridge, behind the crew's battle stations so they don't notice what you're doing.
That's about all the luck you can hope for, unfortunately. Checking ship after ship you only find one mean looking mug after the other. Makes sense, you suppose. A raid on a fortress of one of the galaxy's most powerful conglomerates would only attract the most hardened or ambitious criminals. Still, you had hoped for at least one ship of wannabe hacktivist college kids.
Before you, the Vault still looms ominously, its vantablack-tinted windows yielding no secrets even to the ship's probing telescope. They still haven't made a move, even though the pirates seem to be finally breaking through its shield - not that the holes are big enough yet for a ship to pass through. What are they waiting for? Are they about to make a jump? Is help underway?
You shake your head. It's useless to be pondering these questions. You've got your own problems going on, and those take precedence. For one, even if you found a sympathetic ship to take you in, how are you going to get off this one? Jump out the front door in their direction and hope you float at the right angle?

Wat do?

44 choices remain.

See if you can use a trusty can of hairspray you (hopefully) have to direct yourself in space.

Yes. We misfired the hairspray and sent ourselves hurtling into empty space where we encountered almost instant death due to our body fluids freezing in the -270°C void.
